Here are the pros of the resort: -Kids Club - spot on what has been mentioned. Our 4 y/o son was paired with Nate and we could not have asked for a kinder and sweeter person to interact with our son for the week. She went above and beyond to treat him like her own family. She helped him come out of his shy shell on Day 1 to have an amazing week. He's been talking about her every day since we've left the resort. -The resort is very beautiful and well maintained. Easy to walk from villa to clubhouse. They will golf cart you back and forth if need/want. -They asked if our son wanted to plant a coconut tree and set up a space/time to plant it with Nate. They attached a note with his name/date on it so he now has his own tree planted at the resort. A very cute and nice touch. They did this for multiple children at the resort. -1/2 day trip to the private island was a lot of fun. The boat pictured in the adventure guide is not the boat you will be taking out. We took a metal dive boat out and wasn't what we expected but the captain was excellent in getting us out there and back safely on a windy and choppy day. Nate went out with us and hung out with our son on the beach looking for crabs while JBale took us out for a snorkel tour. JBale made sure our son was comfortable going out and back chatting and joking with him. -Long boat ride to the waterfall was a blast also. It was a misty rainy day but CeCe helped us make the best of it. She was an amazing guide and pointed out a variety of plants for our son to learn about. Her energy was a perfect match for what a 4 y/o needed on a rainy day. She was a big reason why the excursion was a big success with him. -The bar staff were very good overall. Watson, Wise and Rusi are the stand outs of the bar staff. Very personable and always great to chat with.

Here are the average aspects of the resort: -Housekeeping - Water, fridge, towels, and bath robes weren't restocked even when we brought this to management's attention. -The one and only restaurant - Some days at the restaurant were good and some days it wasn't. It's 50/50 if you minus/customize an item from a meal if it comes out correctly and this is after they read your order back to you. At multiple dinners I had to grab a chair for our 4 y/o because we were sat at a 4 top but with only two chairs. I would also have to grab a table setting for him. Having to hunt down our own utensils to eat our meals was more common place than it should be for a self proclaimed 5 star resort.

Overall the resort is nice but when you go into it with 5 star expectations you will expect 5 star service. I did give some feedback to management before we checked out and they did comp our final day extension cost ($400 FJD for a late checkout).

Travel and Leisure Readers' 5 Favorite Resorts in the South Pacific had Nanuku at number two on the World's Best Awards survey for 2024. Nanuku is good but we have stayed at other resorts that made the top five on that list and unfortunately it is not in the same class as...

Thank you to the fantastic staff and manager, Vuli, for helping to make our stay at Nanuku Resort so enjoyable. The resort is a beautiful sanctuary with a brilliant daily array of activities to enjoy. Our highlights were partaking in the various traditional Fijian activities including a kava ceremony hosted by Josh. We also loved the customised private boat trip tour to Yanuca Island, the guys at the beach activity hut were super helpful in creating a special outing for us on short notice. The weekly hotel feast and canapes/drinks event was exceptional and a great atmosphere amongst staff and the resort guests. The food at this event was deserving of the title of feast, with an extensive array of fresh meats, fish, salads, sides and individual cooking stations with chefs. Delicious and plentiful! No shortage of choice and 5* quality. The evening entertainment was also always top notch! Without detracting from the overall experience, a few small suggestions for improvement: Breakfast buffet choices were a bit limited compared to other 5* establishments. A wider choice including cheese, cold cuts, vegetables/fruits and yoghurt would be good, as well as not having to pay extra for bread/toast... Fresh water provided was plentiful with room service, however, it would be great to have glass or environmentally friendly bottles rather than large quantities of small plastic bottles. Prices for tours/activities advertised via the resort were often at a large premium compared to prices outside the resort for same activity. The costs were often prohibitive and on par with hiring a private luxury catamaran in Aus/NZ/USA per time equivalent (in reality the tour is on a narrow fishing/utility boat, and you have to hold on tight not to fly off in the waves!) The food was overall excellent, however there were a couple disappointing experiences with a shared episode of food poisoning one night, a tiramisu dessert the size of one biscuit for ~$30 and no option to order sides on the daily a la carte menus, i.e. typically $50-60FJD for an entree and $80-100+FJD for a main as standard. These prices are equivalent to the top degustation restaurants in Australia. Wines were also an average of $200FJD per bottle (on the lower end of the range). Dining experiences were out of the question given it would cost $500 just for a 2 person table set up with no food or drinks. Strongly recommend booking your own private transfer to/from the resort as it is a long 2.5hr drive from the airport. The resort offers transfers, but again, the costs are approx 2-4x the equivalent of the service booked independently. We used My Fiji tour booking agency and transfers were included 😊 Overall, a brilliant resort with a large team of kind and hospitable staff and resort manager who is dedicated to his guests and their experience. For this reason, I highly recommend staying at the beautiful Nanuku Resort. Don't forget to try nearby...

From the Warrior Welcome to the Farewell Song, our stay at Nanuku was exactly what we needed and exceeded all our expectations! My husband and I decided to celebrate both our milestone birthdays by Turning 50 in Fiji! The staff was so friendly and we were often greeted by name whenever we were served our just walking through the resort. The food was excellent and we truly got to experience the flavors of Fijian cuisine. We had the meal inclusive package and it was more than enough food, lots of selection and variety and the portions, especially for dinner were large! I was never disappointed by anything we ate or drank there.||We stayed in Garden Villa 202 and it was amazing! The room was large, we had our own private plunge pool, swinging day bed, Bali bed, lounge chairs, eating area and outdoor shower in our backyard. There’s a living area with everything you need for coffee, tea, popcorn, mini-bar which was stocked daily with water, soft drinks and some alcoholic beverages. If you’re on the meal inclusive plan, note that all non-alcoholic drinks are included. Definitely get their daily fresh juices, espresso drinks and their mocktails are yummy! ||We did the river kayaking and 2-hr jet ski ride there at the resort and also booked the Navua River Tubing tour through front desk. Highly recommend the River Tubing excursion. You take about a 45min longboat ride up the river to a village where you get to learn about their culture and way of life. We brought coloring books, crayons and stickers for the kids and they were so grateful. If you visit a village, please bring a little donation they really appreciate it. Then short hike to a waterfall for a swim, lunch and then on the tubes to float through rapids and back down the river. Such a fun-filled day!||Shout out to the wonderful staff! Cece for starting most of our mornings with yoga. Louise and Nanda for serving most of our meals. Watson for serving us poolside and making amazing drinks and mocktails. Paula for always being so friendly and greeting us whenever he saw us. Suve for always bringing us fresh coconut and cutting it open with his machete so we could enjoy eating and drinking it fresh. Maka for being an awesome “chief” the whole time we were there. I wish I could name them all because they were truly the best! Not to mention the entertainment staff! The people in Fiji have beautiful voices. Many of the entertainment singers were also serving in different capacities at the resort. I could listen to them sing all day. ||We took advantage of the bikes they had for each villa. We rode around the resort to explore the beautiful grounds, rode to the market and explored their beach. ||Remember to load up on insect spray! No matter what we used, we still got bit but it didn’t ruin our stay. ||Highly recommend Nanuku for a relaxing stay, beautiful resort, friendly staff, amazing food and overall...

My partner and I (late 30s early 40s) had a magical time at Nanuku Resort. We booked our package through MyFiji, who were absolutely brilliant and made airport transfers and the 2 hour drive to the resort a breeze (with additional nice perks like airport lounge access and a goodie bag with Fiji essentials). As context, my partner and I were seeking a holiday to simply relax and do nothing. We don't have kids, and as it was my first visit to Fiji, so I wanted somewhere that felt more boutique than mass resort without having to venture to another island. Nanuku was the perfect response to this brief. The resort has recently been renovated and is absolutely stunning, and we were delighted to be upgraded to a Nanuku Suite with private plunge pool! The resort does have a great pool (and swim-up bar), however we actually preferred the beach so we spent more time there (the water temperature is insanely warm which was a pleasant surprise). Whilst I've been told often that 'you don't go to Fiji for the food', the food at Nanuku was awesome. Our package included breakfast - which had a full hot-food menu as well as continental (and amazing coffee), and most dinner nights are themed so you're not eating the same thing every day. Important to note that there is only one restaurant on-site and the resort itself is located away from other venues, so if different venues are a priority then Nanuku might not be for you, unless you're willing to get a car or organise a driver (both of which the resort is very happy to help organise). The resort also has a list of free daily activities to keep both adults and kids entertained and learn more about Fiji culture (the fire-making was great), with a range of additional paid options. Highly recommend the longboat / waterfall tour (top trip highlight), as well as the paid snorkelling excursion that's on a reef a mile off the coast (saw lots of nemo and lion fish!). The on-site spa is also delightful, but prices are quite similar to what you pay in Australia (but highly worth it). Also highly recommend you try the Kava and storytelling session. But above everything the staff are what makes Nanuku Resort so special. From the warrior welcome on arrival to the singing send-off, you're truly made to feel a part of their family, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. A heartfelt thanks to the full Nanuku Resort family for making our stay one we'll never forget. It truly is a little piece of paradise.

Nanuku Resorts is the best hidden gem that we have experienced in a long time! As experienced travel enthusiasts, we chose to try a resort destination that was outside of the tourism arena to celebrate hubby’s birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary. We caught a red eye from SFO directly to Nandi International Airport. We were met by a private driver and enjoyed the 3.5 hour to the other side of the island, Pacific Harbour. We were met with a ceremonial drum greeting by the local villagers and from there, our dreams came true! We had a fantastic villa steps from the beach, a plunge pool, two outdoor showers and spa soak tub. The staff, Jeff, Pauliasi, Dima, Freddie, Suzanna, and Rusi, ensured we were well taken of the entire trip! They celebrated us with an amazing private chef and full catered dinner that was absolutely amazing (extra cost and well worth it!) Imagine dinner cliff side or in a tree house! Not to mention the beautiful serenades that were a beautiful touch. The resort is family friendly and Fijian authenticity is abound, from the gardens, to the food and beach. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with excursions available on site, this is your slice of paradise! Specifically, snorkeling, kayak, paddle boarding. Also, area excursions can be coordinated for you such as visiting Suva, the capital, about 45 minutes away. There you can enjoy the Presidential palace, local museum, shops, and a huge marketplace. The meaning of Ohana is definitely evident here our travel friends! Our experience has been like none other and we will be back with our clients and friends! You have an outstanding staff Jennifer!
