I don’t know how to begin to describe how wonderful Vomo Island is. Within 12 hours of hitting its shores it felt like we had been relaxing for a week and we were already planning our next trip back. We flew in on a helicopter which is only a short 15min ride from Nadi airport. Luckily for us there was another Heli on the pad on Vomo as we approached so we did a lap of the island, just beautiful! We got a wonderful greeting by the staff singing and playing guitar, along with personal welcome from the senior management, Jacques (assistant GM) and Andrew (Food and Beverage manager). Immediately you get a sense of how all the staff love their Island and their job and they take a genuine personal interest in you. I know Fiji is renowned for friendly staff but these guys were amazing, we got quite emotional saying goodbye to the many beautiful souls who made our trip amazing. Within hours they knew you by name and couldn’t be more accommodating and helpful. One of the many joys of Vomo is that it’s like owning your own Island. There is a maximum of about 70 guests and with only 28 when we landed it felt even more personal and easy to relax. Many times we were the only people on the beach or in the pool. The food and beverage is exceptional and is inclusive, except for alcohol. The food is fresh, tropical and delicious. Great seafood, fruit, meat, deserts on offer with great variety. So many great ala carte choices at every meal. A place where you can have Lobster Frittata for breakfast everyday (which I did) certainly knows how to deliver. In fact it’s hard not get order multiple dishes at once (which I also did). Cocktails at the rocks bar at sunset are a must, the view is simply stunning even better with a ginger mojito in hand. Alcohol is not cheap but is typical of resort pricing with wine being a bit more expensive. Great choice of beer wine and cocktails served by awesome staff always up for a chat and a laugh. All the usual activates are on offer if you can pry yourself off the day beds by the pool. We snorkeled out the front of our room, paddle boarded, kayaked, swam etc. etc. Do yourself a favor and pay for a private troll around the island for wahoo and mackerel, awesome experience. Walking around the Island is a must at low tide as is climbing the hill for charity and walking out to the “Yoga platform” for breath taking views. Vomo is not cheap but its great value. If you add up the cost of a nice main island resort and tip in food, coffees, water etc. you are only paying a small premium for a 6 star semi-private island experience. I could go on and on about this magic place but in closing is just stole our hearts and we will be back time and time again. It’s wrecked us for other islands and we will be back again and again.

We stayed at their 2bed room villa and it was just perfect, beautiful, spacious and incredibly comfortable. The amenities for the 2 bedroom make it worth spending a little extra for the added comfort. The master bedroom and master ensuite were spectacular with very a comfortable bed. The AC worked perfectly, keeping us comfortable day and night. Vomo Resort had beautiful grounds with incredibly friendly staff. Our transportation to and from the airport to the marina and the 40 minutes boat ride to Vomo Island was seamless and without stress. The Vomo crew were waiting for us and ready at each opportunity to meet our needs. Vomo in general was truly an amazing stay. The food was spectacular without a single bad meal. Even our picky teenager enjoyed the food. They were very accommodating to food needs and ensuring plenty of variety. We actually went fishing and brought fish back, and the great Executive Chef for Vomo made the best dishes with the fish just for us. Our teenager could not stop eating the amazing food. I cannot say enough about the chef and all the staff there. The staff knew us really well within a day and accommodated us in advance with almost everything we needed. The activities coordinator was spectacular...we went scuba diving everyday. It was an amazing experience going to different sites each dive and on the days we snorkeled those were great experiences as well. The dive masters were very knowledgeable and made sure we were safe throughout the dive while finding the most amazing coral reef and sealife underwater. From the boat, to the boat captain to the equipment we used to dive, everything was perfect and we never had any problems. The Wednesday cultural experience is a must see event not to be missed. We also visited a Fijian village and it was a beautiful experience. Finally this would not be complete without mentioning the amazing views. The whole island had spectacular scenery with beautiful sunrise and sunset views to be enjoyed daily. At night the sky exploded with stars you never imagined seeing when you are at home. We would return every year if we could. Vinaka to the Vomo resort team. Sota tale.

We spent a wonderful week on Vomo Island: highly recommended! My wife was interested in Fiji due to her long-time love of the Survivor TV show, while I'd long wanted to experience the famous South Pacific waters. We both like all-inclusive resorts with casual snorkeling and water activities, so Vomo sounded perfect. We were very pleased with our choice. The Fiji water is truly spectacular: clear, warm, calm, and with lots of colorful fish and coral. Usually my wife has her fill of snorkeling after 10-15 minutes due to getting cold and/or bored, but Fiji was a revelation. We had a great time snorkeling from the beach, and even more fun on a couple snorkel excursions including an amazing "swimming with sharks" experience (reef sharks; it's safe!). Paddleboarding, kayaking, and other water activities were also fun. The food at the two restaurants was excellent, and the staff were wonderful throughout. Rooms were very nice as well. The resort and island are very kid-friendly, so there were quite a few families around, though one restaurant and pool area is adults-only if you don't like seeing and hearing that much, uh, energy. Wish we'd known about Vomo back when our kids were little! One thing I should mention is that it's a very small island, and there are only so many things you can do for activities. It was great for a relaxing week, but I might get restless if we stayed much longer. Bottom line, we had a great time, we were sad to leave, and we hope to come back someday.

This is our third trip to a resort on one of Fiji's outer islands. We spent 4 nights at VOMO Island Resort in early October 2024. Crystal clear waters, clear blue skies, and pristine white sands! VOMO guarantees a bespoke experience like no other. ||Reservation:||A big shout out to everyone from Reservations team patiently explained to me every question in detail.|Thanks for all the prompt reply emails and we have finally booked our magical escape at VOMO Island Resort.||The Boat Transfer and Check-in:||Although our boat transfer was significantly delayed, the staff from VOMO at Vuda Marina made excellent arrangements for us. |We were able to enjoy meals at nearby restaurants and indulge in any food and drinks, including ice cream, from the shops around.||Ocean Play: Snorkelling, Freediving and Scuba Diving:||GREETINGS from the ocean floor! The best spot is just under VOMO Lailai!!!||You'd be surprised at the wonders VOMO Lailai house reef has in store for you.||With the house reef rich in vibrant marine life at VOMO Lailai, you are assured to discover something or someone new every day during your casual snorkelling. We have encountered all kinds of marine animals, Sea turtle, Anemonefish such as Tomato Clownfish and Clarks Clownfish; Blacktip and Whitetip sharks; Groupers; Trevally; Butterflyfish; Angelfish; Hawkfish; Surgeonfish; Triggerfish; Pufferfish; Boxfish; Unicornfish; Hind; Parrotfish; Sweetlips and Moorish Idol.||Hannah Quigley, the Dive Manager, went above and beyond to address all our needs during our stay. Her respectful and attentive demeanour truly enhanced our experience at VOMO. The memories we created were even more special thanks to her prompt responses and her dedication to ensuring we had everything we requested. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for her outstanding service.||The experience of the daily snorkel safari was excellent; both the captain and the dive guide were very professional.||BEACHFRONT VILLA #12||It had breathtaking panoramic ocean view and the seating area outside the room was spacious.||We have found the perfect spot to relax while listening to the lapping waves. Lying in the beach hammock and spend away the mid-summer noon with your loved ones. |Let yourself be treated to unparalleled panache and a dream filled thought made a reality only at VOMO.||The Vuda Reef Restaurant and Vuda Bar:||We were spoiled for choices at all-day. This is for a culinary experience worth cherishing for years.|The breakfasts can be as blissful as it seems. Each dish served for both lunch and dinner are exquisite and delectable you can order whatever on the menu.|Desserts are fabulous not to mention the extensive beverage selection served all day at Vuda Bar.||Birthday Celebration||We celebrated Lucy's birthday on the morning of our checkout day at The Reef Restaurant. The service team sang a birthday song and provided a beautiful chocolate cake.||The Rocks Adult Oasis||Sit down for a refreshing sip by the pool. Treat yourself to a one of kind thirst quenching drinks made just for you after a long sunny day at VOMO.|Spend the afternoons by the main pool at VOMO, listening to the gentle rumble of the ocean under swaying palm trees. Pure Bliss and panache at its finest!||Service team||All the staff at the resort were very friendly and respectful in their role.||Farewell||Home away from Home! Welcome to your family’s exclusive wonderland.||VOMO Island Resort is the perfect destination for families to relax and make memories for a lifetime. With a wide range of activities for all age groups and a fully equipped Kids Club for your little ones, this paradise assures you a fun filled family vacation.||Time is irrelevant, the day is irrelevant, what is relevant are those moments! Those moments that you will cherish for years to come. What better way to relish those moments other than with your families at VOMO Island Resort.||Waking up in paradise and embrace an experience like no other only at VOMO Island Resort!||Suggestions for Improvement at VOMO Island Resort:||First, I think the boat used for the transfer should be upgraded, as it does not match the hotel’s positioning. I believe it should be upgraded to a luxury yacht that can accommodate around 20 people, so guests can experience VOMO's high-end positioning right from the start.||Second, the check-in time flexibility could be improved. According to international standards, check-in at 2 PM is fine, but it's disappointing that VOMO does not allow guests to arrive earlier and start experiencing the island. While it’s understandable that rooms may not be ready, the island is large enough for the hotel to offer an earlier boat transfer time. Guests could explore the island upon arrival, with their luggage stored in a designated area until the room is ready, and then proceed with the formal check-in at the reception.||Third, I think the pool next to The Vuda Reef Restaurant is too small and should be expanded to accommodate children. Currently, the pool feels undersized and does not align with VOMO’s luxury image. During our stay, we noticed the pool was often crowded, and the children were not able to fully enjoy it. Adding a water slide and creating an integrated pool area would enhance the experience.||Fourth, I would suggest installing a fan in the bathrooms of the Hill Villa and Beachfront Villa to help the air conditioning system cool the entire room faster. Often, the temperature in the bathroom is 1-2 degrees higher than in the bedroom. Additionally, the hair dryers could be upgraded to Dyson models for faster drying. I also found it surprising that the VOMO-branded bags provided in the room are not complimentary. It seems a bit stingy that the bag can only be used during the stay and must be purchased if guests wish to keep it. I believe gifting one VOMO bag per room would not be a significant cost.||Fifth, I feel that the restaurant staff were sometimes slow to respond. I’m not sure if it was due to the school holidays and perhaps being very busy, but there were several occasions when we had to repeatedly remind the staff before our food was served. Additionally, the children's high chairs in the restaurant need to be updated, as many of the safety belts were either missing or broken, which poses a safety risk for children. I also think the breakfast buffet area requires a dedicated staff member to regularly check which foods need to be replenished. Often, when a specific item ran out, it wasn't restocked in a timely manner.||Lastly, the most disappointing part of our trip was that, despite confirming with the reservation team that the room would be decorated, and a birthday cake and song would be provided during dinner on the birthday, this was forgotten. Instead, we received the cake and song on the morning of our checkout day. Tim handled this issue very well during our checkout, and I would like to thank him for his prompt handling and compensation.||Please note that the above suggestions are based on my personal experience with luxury island travel, as well as my experience at VOMO. In my heart, I truly love VOMO Island, and I hope it can continue to improve, offering even better and higher standards of service to its guests.||Vinaka and...
