Airisto is a summer destination and August is a good month to spend a vacation there, because the surrounding big rocks give off heat to the bay and the sea water was still warm. The recreational opportunities are poor and all services have to be found outside the site, but a pizzeria near the beach in the summer is a good option. It is not open in the months of September-April. Up-to-date events in the port and the surrounding area should be viewed on the HC Airisto Support fb site. That's where I found live music events in the center of Parainen. The apartment was clean and spacious, but the view from the terrace is not good from all apartments. There is no washing machine in the apartment. Grilling was possible only in the wood-burning grill on the seashore, but you must bring your own grilling equipment! The wood can be obtained from the wood pile of the waste shed. In the harbor, only watercrafts are available for rent, nothing else. The beach is child-friendly. |The area is quiet and there is no noise. Vacationers come here to spend a relaxing vacation in an apartment or in nearby cities or in the archipelago (Turku, Parainen, Nauvo, Korppoo). You need your own car. You can go outside on the rocks in the area, take a picnic lunch with you and watch the sea and sailing ships while the sun glistens on the...

The room was dusty, dated and bare, with just a random, forgotten pillowcase in the closet. There were no amenities in the bathroom besides two empty soap dispensers - luckily we had our own hand soap with us. The bathroom was so cramped that using the shower there ensured the toilet and whole room were soaked afterwards. At least the size of the bathroom meant that it got warmed by the floor heating easily. The bathroom floor, sheets and towels were clean, but the ventilation duct seemed to host its own life forms.||If you want to have breakfast here, make sure to come right when the restaurant opens, because there is not enough staff around to keep the place tidy and breakfast buffet stocked. The few staff that we did see during our stay were friendly and offered good service. The management should just realize that 1-3 people can't keep a hotel running well. The archipelago view is a nice distraction from an overall...
Read moreHave to say I'd never had a decent meal or service here until now. We took pizzas due to the very poor food in the past. The imaginative pizza menu was interesting. The pizzas were tasty, well made and had a good dough. The service was excellent by a pleasant multi-lingual waitress Janina for our multi-lingual group. Airisto has a great seaside location so I hope this is a positive turning point in...
