I stayed one night here lately. The hotel is probably the only one in the center of the village, so you don't have much choice. We had a reservation for a room with tv and I was eager to watch UEFA soccer final that evening. However, after a while we realised that the tv wasn't working. At first the man in the reception was a bit unwilling to solve the problem, since he was alone downstairs. When he finally came half an hour later, he told us, that there were some cables missing, but he couldn't do anything for that. A bit later another member of the staff, a woman this time, came inside with a missing digi-box(?). She tried to to make the tv working again and put the blame on us for pressing the buttons on the tv - she told us, that the tv wouldn't work, if the buttons are touched... After all, since the remote controll was missing also, I had nothing else to try than press the buttons... I got a bit upset and asked her, if it would be practical to put some notes on the tv "do not press the buttons if you want to watch tv". She replied, that in that case she should put instructions evereywhere, including saunas, and that would be too time consuming... Anyway, she praised the old tv even though she wasn't able to fix it. She suggested that we should try to make it work now when she had brought the missing digi-box. I asked if we could change the room instead. She told us, that it was impossible since we had already pulled the cover from one of the beds. It was absurd. She really was denying us a new room, even though the tv wasn't working in our room and the hotel was almost empty (I saw just a couple of other customers). She also wondered, why we came to the hotel to just watch tv! Finally, she agreed to give us another room with working tv, if we made the bed in our old room. And when we finally left the room, she told us that we made the bed terribly...!||||I've been to worse hotels, yes, but probably never the staff has been this rude. The woman who was really pissed off in the evening was in a better mood in the morning, but it was too late to change the mental image anymore... ||||The corridor is unbelievably dark even on summertime and the breakfast is poor on Finnish standards (I actually asked what the breakfast is like, and the man in the reception told me that "it's the kind of breakfast you usually have in hotels" - well, it wasn't). However, the room itself was quite ok, but definetly a way overpriced (I would define this place more like a motel) . If you have a car in your use, it's better to drive a short trip south to Sallatunturi, where you can find more hotels, probably with more...

We arrived early evening and asked for the price. They gave us an excessively expensive price. We decided to try elsewhere. If you don't have a car, this place is the only hotel in town, so we came back 10 minutes later. When they saw us, they turn off lights and hide behind a column. We knocked at the window but they stayed hidden. After a while, one of them decided to go out from the dark and came to see us. She told us a price even more expensive than the first one. The hotel was empty that night (no light in any room) and the staff is absolutly unpleasant. |Avoid it for...

We stopped by with short notice and stayed for a night. Got a room with sauna and got good info of everything. Biggest plus was that we were allowed to come with a dog without extra pay. The staff loved our dog and got treats too. Only minus to the decoration, it's still in the 80s. And wish sauna was...
