We booked the 3D2N activity package at Northern Lights Village Pyhä, and from the very beginning, their customer service was outstanding. Even before our trip, they proactively reached out to confirm our flight details and airport pickup, responding promptly to all our queries and ensuring that everything was well-arranged before we even booked the place.
Finally, it was time to go to Finland—our first time in the country, and we were beyond excited to experience the resort. However, things took a downturn when our flight was severely delayed. We were originally supposed to arrive by 2 PM, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we only made it to Rovaniemi Airport at 1 AM and finally reached the resort at 3 AM the following day.
Throughout this entire ordeal, the team at Northern Lights Village Pyhä was extremely supportive. Despite the late-night arrival, they actively communicated with us and even arranged an airport pickup at 1 AM, ensuring that we could get to the resort safely. Talk about top-notch customer service!
To make things worse, our luggage was delayed along with our flight. This meant that all our winter clothing, extra clothes, toothbrushes, and sanitary items were not with us. Yet, the hospitality of the team truly shone through.
When we arrived at the airport, Marcos and another staff member greeted us warmly and even provided drinks and biscuits for the journey back. Upon reaching the resort at 3 AM, Mariana was waiting for us at the reception to assist with check-in smoothly. They saved us some dinner from the meal we missed—such a thoughtful gesture that truly touched our hearts. Mariana went above and beyond, providing us with bathrobes, toothbrushes, and even offering her own toothpaste in case it wasn’t included in the set. She carefully explained everything about our stay and kept reassuring us to reach out if we needed anything. We truly cannot thank the team enough for their kindness and hospitality during such a stressful experience.
Even though we had to wear the same clothes throughout due to the luggage delay, our stay at Northern Lights Village Pyhä was nothing short of magical. We had a fun husky ride experience, enjoyed a beautiful reindeer sleigh ride, got to play in the snow together, dined in a cozy, warm restaurant, tried skiing for the first time, lay in the snow under the Arctic sky, and best of all—our accommodation was absolutely wonderful!
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible staff: 🌟 Mariana – for taking care of us during check-in and showing such genuine care and concern. 🌟 Marcos – for driving us all the way from the airport at 1 AM and continuing to check in on us throughout our stay. 🌟 The staff member who assisted Marcos that night – for ensuring everything went smoothly.
If you’re planning a trip to Finland, this is THE place to go. The combination of stunning Arctic scenery, well-planned activities, cozy accommodations, and an unbelievably kind and professional team makes Northern Lights Village Pyhä an unforgettable experience.
We highly recommend this resort and will forever be grateful to the team for making our trip so special despite the...

Bad We overlapped with Europe school holidays and it was carnage. Loads of kids made it feel more like school camp than a 'luxury resort'.
Didn't tell us Parks couldn't do the snow mobile until we were there and then they told us he was too young (have to be 6yo).
The food was repetitive, it's not the end of the world as you can still go a la carte. That said, busy periods were chaotic but the buffet is available for large parts of the day, you can normally find something to eat and so you never go hungry.
We had a period of about an hour without water in our cabin because they were fixing an issue in another cabin. It was more frustrating that they didn't communicate and didn't last too long.
The timing of some activities weren't too well thought out. Eg. Hunting for the aurora finished at 11.30pm... then at 10am the following day was 'searching for Santa'. Adults are fine, but given it's geared towards kids, none of the kids had enough time to sleep and there were lots of tears.
Good Knowing we're in the middle of nowhere drinks weren't as expensive as you might think they would be. Not cheap by any means but not eye wateringly so (€8/beer, 10€/wine).
The gear they offer is new or near new. I got a pair of boots that looked brand new, super warm fleece pile gloves and an all-in-one suit that kept me warm.
The accommodation is great for a couple, with kids it's a bit cosy given the small bathroom and it all being one room. We were in a cabin suite with the sauna which we used most nights that worked well enough. Given another run at it, with kids, I'd get a forest cabin to have the kids in a room and a bit more privacy.
Every activity was great, like, really great. When it was all packaged up we didn't have to stare into the cost per activity which was nice and every time we came back from an activity we both thought it was a great experience.
Overall Overall it was a great experience and we had an amazing time. We would have been happy with 4 nights instead of 5 given one day was a 'nothing day' and when it's -25 degrees there isn't a whole lot of activites you can do outside with a toddler. If you came out of school holidays and with a low expectation of the food then you're gonna have a great time. But if you come during holidays for a romantic break you'll likely be...
Read moreMy family and I just got back from our 5 night Nordic Family Adventure Package. This was our first time every doing an all inclusive thing and visiting Finland. The lack of stress I felt no having to plan anything was a breath of fresh air. We were picked up by the lovely Vivian who had water and biscuits waiting for us. It was such a nice surprise.
We are a family of four, and stayed in one of the Arctic cabins with the glass room. The space was comfortable for us with the pulled out couch serving as the kid’s bed. The only negative thing was that our cabin’s view was partially blocked by a tree (it was just our luck, ours was the only one).
Our package included excursions. I think the staff was what made this truly special. With our searching for Santa excursion, we had the most amazing helpers, Adel and Dani. They truly were the best, and made our stach so incredibly memorable. Without them, don’t think it would of been the same. The Husky ride with Toni was such an incredible experience and I’m in awe of his farm and the dogs. Our hunting for the northern lights was a bit rough, my kids don’t stay up and fell asleep the first our in. Thank goodness for our favorites, Adel & Dani, they made sure we were comfortable while the kids slept for the rest of the experience. They even delivered warm berry juice and cookies to my husband who sat in the heated sleigh. The other staff who was amazing was Tijn and instructing is to cross country ski. My daughter instantly caught on while my son and I had more difficulties. He went ahead with her while checking in on us. He was incredibly patient and encouraging while we learned. It’s not easy teaching two kids who have never ski’d before. Barbara at the front desk was always so attentive and kind when answering questions.
The meal staff was incredibly too. Most worked most of the days, Theodora was always a smile and hello. The food was consistent. My kids loved the breakfast time while I loved the soups, salads, and fresh bread. Some days were better with the buffet items, but that’s usually how it is.
If you are truly wondering if you should book a cabin here… do it! I am truly im awe of the staff, and the memories we have created here.
A huge shoutout to Adel, Dani, and Tijn. I am truly thankful for you and the memories my family has with you. You are all amazing and...
