Hotel Fabrik Forssa — Hotel in Forssa sub-region

The location is nice and central in Forssa, close to museums, resturants and shops. And with the hotel offering big rooms and complimentary sauna and jacuzzi, I really looked forward to our stay here. My expectations were quickly deflated upon arrival. ||While my room was really nice and spacious, with a sofa group and a view of the park. However, the bed linnen had what seemed like permanent stains (ink, perhaps?) and the whole room smelled strongly of sewage and mould. Putting my head through the bathroom door clearly explained where the mould smell came from, as all the floor- and wall tiles were covered in black spots. |The sewage smell was also really strong in there. I tried flushing toilet and filling the shower and basin drain seal with new water, thinking the smell might come from longer periods of disuse. Alas, it did not help. ||I tried informing the staff about the problems, but while the receptionist was friendly and helpful enough, both she and her resturant colleagues clearly struggled with English, and the message did not come across - and nothing was done to try rectify the situation. ||Considering the state of the room bathroom, I did not dare try my chances with the jacuzzi or the sauna. We also left the hotel for dinner, as several in my company have different dietary reservations, and I did not trust the information to come across and be understood by the staff. ||We did have a drink in the bar, though. The hotel's own gin is definitely worth...

As a Latin American living in Finland, I often seek out experiences to break away from my routine. Recently, my friend and I decided to visit one of Forssa's iconic spots, and we ended up at the Fabrik Hotel's restaurant, Villa Ravintola. Our choice to try their beef turned out to be a fantastic decision. The beef steak was incredibly delicious and one of the best I've had.||Having traveled to over 27 countries and dined at high-end restaurants in Miami, New York, and L.A., I can confidently say these guys rock! What made our visit truly special was the impeccable service we received from our waitress, Vilma. Her attention to detail was outstanding. If I ever open a restaurant or any business requiring top-notch customer service, Vilma would be my first hire without hesitation.||Whenever you visit Villa Ravintola Restaurant, do yourself a favor and request VILMA as your waiter. She is exceptionally kind, and her willingness to explain anything about the food or her lovely town added a special touch to our experience. Five diamonds to Vilma!
