Lovely getaway for active nature lovers.||||Beds: The beds were good and the mattresses comfortable, no lied trough mattrress, even the sofabed (we were 4 and had a bedroom + sofabed) was pretty comfortable.||The sheets were perfect. One suggestion maybe: an extra spare sheet or cover in the cupboard would be good, my wife likes the extra sheet but apparently is too stubborn to ask .||||Premise: The hotel is in good shape and everything seems rather new. We could tell some parts of the hotel were being built (or rebuilt) but it did not inconvenience us at all.||There's a kota outside. The concept was new to me. The lighting could be improved a bit, apart from that it was impeccable, really authentic.||||Location: The hotel is in the Nuuksio national park and We were able to do some great hikes there.||Some suggestion tours (starting from the hotel).||Komoot tour 1935952732||Komoot tour 1931903338||Distance to helsinki is 30 minutes by car (very doable).||The hotel also has a boat, fishing gear, and provides mountainbikes and other things.||||Bathroom: The bathroom was clean and towels soft. The toilets (I dont know if it's a finish thing) but they have this bidet gun and it was great to use . I did not know I want this now.||||Kitchen/amenities: We had a mini kitchen in the room and it was functional. A good clean fridge, a little fire and the finnish cupboard to dry your dishes. all clean nice and functional. My wife complained about a knife not being sharp but I think it was just good.||||Sauna: They have two sauna's. One in the building and one lakeside.||Both Sauna's were clean, well equipped and incredible to use.||We enjoyed the lakeside sauna so much we went multiple times. Hint: Dip naked in the lake after enjoying the sauna. Incredible.||minor remark, the sauna wasn't always at 90* when we started using it, but overall an incredible experience.||||Breakfast: As i visit a lot of hotels at first I thought the breakfast was a bit limited. But I learned to love it. the food was always high quality and the kids loved it (which is not guaranteed). I do think the breakfast times could be a little broader then from 9-10:15. We were waiting for the breakfast most days.||||Personel: The personel in the hotel is super friendly and accommodating. We did not feel a strong bond with them as we did not see them a lot, and there's no reception area (building in progress). But the contacts we had were super friendly.||||Overall Hotel experience: The question I always ask myself: Would I go again? Yes I would. Would i recommend it?...
Read moreI had a very uncomfortable experience here with my girlfriend, our friend and her dog. We saw on Google Maps that there is a bistro (Polku bistro) by the hotel as we wanted to order something to eat, but we did not find this bistro, and when we are by the water, a man sneaks up on us and unleashes a big black dog and angrily accuses us of trespassing, even though there is supposed to be a bistro here and we didn’t see any signs about restricted access. We didn’t argue and tried to leave as soon as possible, and fortunately there were no injuries, but it was a rather threatening situation for all of us. As you can see from my other reviews, they are mostly very positive, as I want to use my account for good and to promote small businesses, but if I can also help other people avoid uncomfortable or outright dangerous situations, I see it as my responsibility. There are many top-quality hotels in the areas. I've stayed at Hawkhill Resort for example, and I was very pleased.
I’d like to make this edit after seeing the reply: Instead of at least trying to look into this situation to understand what happened, the owner, in an act that to me feels like stalking, makes a spurious LinkedIn post (for example, it’s just not true that we had a picnic there) targeting both my employer and my girlfriend, probably to make me remove my post. I’ll admit that it scared me a bit and I first removed the post, but then I decided that no, this is wrong, and even if it is uncomfortable, sharing my account of the situation is the right...
Read moreI have never been a guest of the hotel, but I have had a very unpleasant encounter with the owner of the hotel who treated me, my boyfriend and our friend with a small dog in an unfriendly and threatening manner. We went to the premises just out of curiosity because we saw on Google Maps that they have a Bistro so we decided to check it out because there were no signs that this is private property and we can’t go there. We sat on the pier by the lake for ten minutes just resting and checking if we can book this hotel and discussing that it seems like a lovely place. However, the owner of the hotel (I guess) came up to us witg a big black dog which was unleashed and came up aggressively to our little friend’s dog. The man in quite rude manner said to us that we need to go if we are not guests of the hotel. We were not making any trouble and just left right away. But the whole situation was very unpleasant and threatening with the big unleashed dog was absolutely horrible. The hotel is situated in the National park Nuuksio and there are no signs “Private property” when you come to the hotel, it doesn’t have a gate or fence around. We could have been approached with decency, the owner could have just said to us in a friendly manner, that it is private property and we could have left right away. But he chose to show dominance and threaten us with an unleashed dog and treat us like we have committed a crime. And now he is accusing us of being unethical and stalking us on the internet, very unprofessional and...
