Nukula is truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Away from society and away from the busy life, Nukula offers a place to rest and enjoy the silence in the middle of Nature.

For the past few years (yes, I come back every year :-) ) I have enjoyed walks at the forest, I have seen many moose, I have sat at small rivers listening to the sounds of wind and water, I have watched the sun set at the harbor, enjoyed sauna and many delicious (and freshly prepared) Finnish meals, I have slept next to a warm and cozy fire at the Laavu, I have picked (and eaten) blueberries straight out of the forest (they're delicious!), I have been swimming in the lake at early mornings (and afternoons, and evenings) and I have totally relaxed here (and so much more!).

Both hosts are incredibly kind; they will give their best to make your stay at Nukula memorable. If you want to relax, enjoy Nature and experience Finland at its best, then you should definitely pay a visit...

Nukula Oy is a charming family-run guest house in the middle of the Finnish woods! Our family enjoyed snow activities (kick-sledging), hiking around the lake, the silence and ritual of the Finnish sauna, delicious meals with the hosting family, and a magical holiday all together. It has a wonderful workshop space for 12-18, with a special and calm atmosphere - a place where a group could come together, or have private 1 on 1 conversations. Recommendation: If you have dietary restrictions (allergies etc.), make sure to communicate them ahead of time with the host. I invited my Maid of Honor with me to have a lovely traditional Finnish sauna experience at Nukula in July 2017. We enjoyed the warmth of the sauna by the lake and the Whisking Treatment offered by Hannele, the lady of Nukula. The treatment consists of enjoying the sauna and being treated with whisks made of birch or juniper branches. We had both ways.
