Elise and Rob are very friendly and caring people, which made our time at the holiday village very convinient. The day started with a culinarically diverse and delicious breakfast, an excellent start for our adventures in the finnish wilderness. Rob refilled our boat daily, and gave us some tips together with Elise about our plans. Humor was never cut short in our discussion. The view on the lake was excellent from our cabin, and we took advantage of the great weather during our stay to go swimming in the clear almost redish coloured good smelling water. An unforgettable experience was our day with Petri, with whom we grilled sausages at the campfire in the woods and drank coffee. He helped us not only catching especially big fish, but also told us about his family and a piece of finish history. The special thing about Lentiira holiday village is the combination of diverse opportunities for activities in nature and the excellent care by Elise and Rob and the whole team aswell as the outstanding culinaric quality, which you would never expect from a place so far off civilzation. We went to this piece of paradise for a day trip as part of a guided tour adventure. It was by far the best day of the whole trip. Rob and Elise are hands down the best hosts ever and made our entire day completely magical. Tania taught us all things fauna and flaura and we foraged for ingredients to make a scrub - Tania proving to be a spellbinding wealth of information on everything from hunting to home made remedies and a vast knowledge of local life and it’s history. Rob made the best porridge I have ever tasted in my entire life and all the food was fresh, local and absolutely heavenly. Next time we are planning to actually make it our base, as the place is absolutely spectacular - it has a kind of magic that can only truly be experienced through experience itself. We stayed two nights at these cabins not knowing quite what to expect, but hoping for an experience of natural Finland. We left wishing we had booked for longer. We could not have wished for warmer welcome from the owners, who had literally just taken it over. On our experience, they will make a great success of their enterprise. They certainly deserve to. Our cabin was basic but had everything we needed. We enjoyed biking and rowing on the lake and a wonderful wood-fired smoke sauna. Great walks nearby. Dinner on site local and inexpensive. Overall...
