Hotel Yöpuu — Hotel in Kemi-Tornio sub-region

Decided to stay there because of the photos and was not disappointed, this place is beautiful, especially with piles of snow surrounding it. The view from the room window was like a real winter wonderland. The whole hotel has a very nice atmosphere. I also loved the sauna experience! It is located in the little lighthouse on the top of the hotel. You can book it for your room at the reception, so it's all just for you. Afterwards you can go out to the terrace to enjoy the view and the winter air. Breakfast was tasty and the choices were ok, I think everyone can find something for themselves. You also have access to the shared kitchen with coffee&tea. What really cemented my opinion of this place though was the way staff and owners were doing their best to make us feel welcome and comfortable. It was truly what elevated the whole experience. They told us about the history of the place and went out of their way to help us. I would definitely come back there, maybe in summer for comparison! :)

As part of a 5100 mile motorcycle charity challenge to circumnavigate the Baltic Sea, this place was chosen as an overnight stop for 6 bikers after a day in the saddle.||||The accommodation was a good size with plenty of room, albeit a bit dated. The fact we had a lot of motorcycle gear didn’t matter either. The place was very clean but a bit dated. Between the 6 of us we had 2 rooms of 3. The bathroom was a good size. The staff were very friendly but didn't speak much English. The locals who came for a drink and made a point of talking with us was more friendly than the owner. He made us feel like we were in the way and asked that we don't make any noise! No onsite facilities for an evening meal as they'd shut the kitchen at 8pm so we ordered a taxi and found a good local restaurant. Breakfast at the...

We stayed for a night with a young child who really liked the little play corner and trampoline, both smartly situated so that the parents can keep on eye of the children while in the restaurant or enjoying the nice terrace. The kid also got spoilt with little gifts and ice creams by the staff. Sauna was spacious and without extra cost, a cosy little bar and a bar style menu, good breakfast buffet, very clean rooms with a fridge and a small freezer box.
