Hotelli Leikari — Hotel in Kotka-Hamina sub-region

Great little hotel close to the motorway. Visited here while working for 8 Solutions in a local Data Center at Hamina just before Christmas 2014. Staff friendly and have great English. In fact there's an English class held here for the town's younger population. We stayed here as a B&B with evening meals and the Breakfast was great with an all you can eat style but obviously biased towards a Finnish clientele. I loved it but colleagues were a bit too English and didn't make the most of the menu. Did get a sausage sandwich toasted and it was different but still lovely. Was going to try the Reindeer steak but it was very expensive. I remember a great Santa decoration just outside the restaurant. I was a smoker at the time and remember that you could buy cigarettes from reception if you hadn't been able to get any on your way home. A little dive motel, pretty terrible breakfasts, sauna available, but surprisingly comfortable beds. Nothing special, nothing fancy, which makes for a fun place to afterparty after a festival like Dark River. No bad experiences (besides the breakfast food) despite the place being dingy and old, but was still clean and good enough to sleep in. The messages on the bathroom doors are ludicrous though

|Summary - at this price, it's very good and I definitely recommend it. This is a highway hotel a little away from the city of Kotka, on the edge of a bog. The surroundings of the hotel were a bit dingy and there were old beds floating in the corridors. When we entered the room, we were surprised - everything was very great. The room was clean and big.
