Linkkumylly is simply a corner of paradise on earth. Laila and Ari are the best hosts we have met during our road trip to Finland. The cottages are equipped with all amenities and are super comfortable. The private “real Finnish” sauna is a true experience. Having a private sauna with burning wood was just fantastic. Even better the opportunity to dip into the frozen lake in the well maintained ice hole. The cottages have also a very spacious private garden with a camp fire for barbecue which will allow you to enjoy the stunning view of the dramatic sunset over the lake. The cottages are located close enough to Repovesi National Park and we actually regretted to having stayed only 1 night…absolutely recommended if you want to make your experience in Finland...
Read moreWe were looking for a last minute place to sleep. Called Leila at 5pm and we arrived at 10pm. We stayed in a dmall retro cottage for 75€ per night. I ordered breakfast for 12€ with no expectation. The small cottage was basic and slightly high price for one night. But thier breakfast was really worth the money! They have few designed eco toilet. They are ready to help the visitors to find actovities in the area. We...
Read moreOur lakefront cabin was easily accessible, parking is by the cabin, so no lugging luggage very far. The pretty red cabin was cozy and comfortable and the view across the lake from the porch or floating dock was marvelous. Interestingly, we collected our drinking water from a nearby hand-pump. The cabin had it's own sauna, completed with fresh birch branches. The on-site owners were friendly and helpful, directing us to interesting trails on-site and nearby and making sure we had everything we needed. The grounds have many art installation outhouses, from charming to modern art- completely unusual! The Repovesi National Park is nearby for even more fabulous walks. There was also free wi-fi internet, although we did not expect it, it was...
