Hotelli Haapajärvi — Hotel in Nivala-Haapajärvi sub-region

I recently stayed in this hotel and although it is marketed as a hotel it really isn’t. They have no reception, no restaurant, no bar and no visible staff. It is just an old apartment block. The apartments were poorly decorated, very old and the shower wasn’t cleaned properly. The wifi is also extremely temperamental. There is a bar/nightclub attached to the “hotel” which is quiet during the week but at weekends plays really loud music and karaoke until 3am and it can be heard very clearly in the rooms. Worst experience I have ever had in a ‘hotel’. No chance to have a rest on weekend nights because of that pub that is located in the same building; they are playing music way to loud…you can feel the vibration of the bass in the walls. The apartment is really poor maintained. I wouldn’t...

Rummet var ok för priset det betingade. Men att det fanns bara en rulle toapapper för 2 pers för3 nätter var dåligt. Rummet städades inte en gång under vistelsen. Kylskåpet höll inte särskilt lågt temperatur och den kunde inte regleras. Bastun städades inte heller under dessa 3 dagar. Jag sköljde lavarna själv ett par ggr. Musiken från baren/karaoke störde inte, fast de varnade för det, däremot att folk rökte utanför restaurangen, då vi var tvungna att sova med öppet fönster pga värmen. Visst hjälpte det att ha en fungerande fläkt, men ändå. Frukosten serverades på legendariska caféet Häggman (Hekku) ca 100 m från hotellet. Men den var mycket enkel, man fick plocka för ca 10€.
