Kierinki Village — Hotel in Northern Lapland

It is a nice lodge managed by a family. So everything was cosy and comfortable. We stayed at the "new wing" which is abt 3 min by car from the main area (where the "Kitchen" was). It was a good choice as it's more secluded and at night we were able to get a good view of the aurora because it was surrounding area was dark enough (except for the lights from the lodges and their front door. But since we were the same group of tour mates, we were able to ask each of us to off the lights to keep it as dark for the photo shots.||The individual lodge was small but clean and comfortable which comes with its own sauna at the bathroom. Breakfast and dinner, we were ferried to the main area's "kitchen" that could be a little inconvenient but with proper timing, it was ok. We spent several days (Christmas) here at the Majatalo. The owners were awesome! The accommodations were very comfortable and roomy. The food was ALL delicious. We rented snowshoes, but there were also snowmobiles available. They also arranged for a visit to a neighboring reindeer farm. We very much enjoying our visit there. We were able to see the reindeer up close and also enjoyed the presentation given by the owners.
