Forenom Aparthotel Kempele — Hotel in Oulu sub-region

This property is cheap, convenient and functional. I stayed twice en route between Lapland and southern Finland, and was very satisfied on the first occasion, although the second was marred by finding the perishables of a previous occupant left in the fridge! Apart from this sanitary defect I would observe the following:||||1/ the doorcode system is simple and reliable||2/ the profusion of emails and textmessages before and after the trip is a bit annoying, when all you really need is the doorcode on the day. One of these messages does require you to provide proof of identity, which involves you needing to photograph the main page of your passport and take a selfie, if you do not have a Finnish bank account with secure access. I’m really not sure what to do if you don’t have a smartphone or tablet with roaming rights in Finland (hint: check this when you book!)||3/ the restaurants/takeaways and supermarket in the shopping mall opposite are convenient for getting in whatever supplies you need, upon arrival. Access is via a pedestrian subway only.||4/ the only other issue for me was actually finding my way in to the property from the main highway. Since booking.com, via whom I booked, did not provide adequate info on this, I’ll supply it here for the benefit of any future visitors. After leaving the main highway at Kempele E junction (junction 4a) follow signs for ’Zemppi’, the leisure centre. Once you get to Zemppi, drive past its main building, which is on your left, until you reach a dead end in the carpark. The hotel is the orange and white 6-storey building still on your left, even though it does not display a clear sign that it is, indeed, Aparthotel Forenom. Park in any available spot. Nice hotel. Easy access, only 4-stars cos I am not sure what they're doing below the hotel but at least until midnight it sounds like a bowling space is up and running 😅 Also our shower soap was almost and the one at the sink def empty. Very convenient is the shopping center which is almoat next to it and by walking through pedestrian tunnel you're there within 2-3 minutes :) also we had a dog w us and could nicely walk him at the closeby ski center ans through the small suburb alleys! Всё началось в конце декабря 2018 года....в очередной раз наша семья решила поехать в Финляндию. Ну любим мы эту страну) Теперь решили поехать в Оулу. Но бронировали за десять дней до поездки. Поэтому уже мест в отелях было ограничено и количественно и финансово. Выбор пал на апартаменты Forenom в Кемпеле. Это примерно в 16 км от Оулу. И ни разу не пожалели. Это апарт отель. Совершенно новый. В 15 часов мне на телефон и электронную почту пришел код для доступа в номер и сам номер апартаментов. Доступ только по электронному ключу. В номере все необходимое... кухня полностью оборудованная, отличные кровати и постельное белье, мыло, гель для душа, полотенца. Стол в виде барной стойки - высокий. И высокие стулья. Нам было удобно. Есть холодильник, плита и микроволновая печь. Были ночи. Заплатили за двух взрослых и подростка 15 лет за две ночи 185 евро. Тишина в номере. Балкончик. В номере очень тепло. Рядом расположен торговый центр Zepellin. Буквально в 300 метров от отеля. Парковка бесплатная. До Оулу ехать буквально 15 минут. Рядом проходит скоростная трасса. Поэтому добираться очень удобно.
