Hostel Cafe Huvila — Hotel in Oulu sub-region

We went there for lunch. It's a old building with nice vintage atmosphere. They offer home-cooked food, which tastes very good. However, the service is very poor. They often run of salad in buffet, lacking of cutlery that need to call staff to re-charge, and empty water and drink tanks. I suggest they use numbering system for lunches that are not served as buffet to avoid confusion in staff and customers. We had to wait for quite long time to get 2 tacos, while the waiter was constantly coming to check who ordered what (probably 5 times in our vicinity). Lovely place. We went here for lunch with 3 kids. The staff were incredibly friendly, lunch was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The dining room even had a corner with toys for kids to play. The cafe was pleasant and quiet with no background music.

The only thing to consider is the accessibility, with the cafe and dining area on the 2nd floor behind narrow stairs, there's no way to get there with a wheelchair...

This place is part of a hostel located in toppila neighborhood. It was a cozy place with a nice owner who manage it very well. Booking this place for your event is possible but perhaps max of 50 people. You can also bring your own food or order it from them.
