Iin Sillat matkailualue — Hotel in Oulunkaari sub-region

We spent one night here in our caravan in late June.

First off, we were amazed by the clean and modern toilets and showers. Rarely does one come across such spotless bathrooms on a camping site. The so-called summer kitchen was also clean and featured three sets of necessary kitchen utilities, such as sinks and microwave ovens. It was enough so there was no queue for washing dishes before departure.

We also booked the electric sauna, and like everything previously, it was clean and very modern. Absolutely wonderful. The swimming spot was also good; although the current in the river was surprisingly strong. However, a fully-grown adult is able to reach the sandy bottom at all times, so the current didn't bother us. Loved the sauna, the showers and the river. Wholeheartedly recommended.

The only negative thing I have to point out, like many reviewers before me, is that the adjacent E8 can be very noisy. However, if you are like us and can secure a caravan lot by the entrance, you'll find that the noise of the traffic is barely noticeable. I can't imagine how it must have felt to the poor travellers in the cottages and tents, but the lots by the entrance were fine.

Campsite directly on the E8. I stayed there with a bicycle and a small tent for 20€ which I would say is a little expensive. However the facilities were clean and included, plus there's a summer kitchen.

The staff I encountered didn't speak much English but we worked it out.

Yövyttiin ensimmäistä kertaa Iin Sillat -kämppärillä, kun osui sopivasti reitille. Alueella ei kesäkuussa 2021 ollut ruuhkaa, joten paikan sai valita aika vapaasti.

Isolta tieltä ei tarvitse paljoa poiketa että pääsee alueelle. Toisaalta ison tien melu kuului kämppärille, joka ei hirveästi häirinnyt mutta huonouninen tästä saattaa kärsiä. Leirintäalueella oli laajennus käynnissä, aluehan on aika kompakti ja paikkoja rajallisesti.

Palvelu oli ystävällistä puhelimessa ja paikan päällä. Asuntoautolle sai sähköpaikan valita joen vierestä tai nurmikentältä. Vieressä olevan saaren paikat eivät jostain syystä olleet käytössä. Huoltorakennukseen (wc/suihku) on lyhyt matka joka puolelta. Suihkut ja wc:t oli uusittu muutama vuosi takaperin, ne olivat erinomaisessa kunnossa. Nurmipaikat olivat hyvässä kunnossa ja sähkötolpan kanssa ei ollut ongelmia. Alueella on myös useita pienmökkejä vuokrattavaksi.

Lähtiessä auton huoltotoimet sai hoidettua näppärästi. Respan vieressä oli roskiskatos ja sen vieressä ajokaivo harmaalle vedelle ja kemssalle. Alueella on muutama vesipiste ja kaikista saa juomavettä kanistereihin ja auton säiliöön.
