We relaxed with our family (we and children 14 and 8) from 12/28/19 to 01/02/20 in this amazing place between several Finnish national natural parks. Recently renovated hotel pleasantly suggests home cooking and family atmosphere. For children and adults there are plenty of entertainments inside the hotel: a swimming pool, 2 saunas, a gym, billiards, air hockey, darts, table tennis and football; and on the territory: a large snow slide for tubing, a Finnish Kota with a grill for a fun company, a large parking where you can play hockey with a ball and, of course, a lot of snow to roll for children.|The standard room rate includes breakfast, access to the pool and sauna. For dinner charge 10 euros per person extra. We didn’t take lunch, we bought in stores various European foods (fry sausages and cheese, drink tea with gingerbreads and cookies) J. On the photo there is a part from the New Year Eve’s menu. It was an unforgettable NY2020...
Read moreThe hotel is located in a beautiful and peaceful lakeside environment, surrounded by birch trees and meadows. The building is a bit old but very, very well kept and maintained. The interiors are wide, essentially but neatly decorated, and there are plenty of leisure facilities (sauna, pool, gym, table tennis...). The exteriors are also neat, wide, and full of extras (playground, soccer field, etc). From the perfectly kept garden we could enjoy a spectacular aurora borealis!!! The family room was comfy and functional. Everything in the property is super clean (far, far above the Finnish average...) and neatly kept, also the garden. The owner is as welcoming and friendly as possible, always ready to give suggestions on the surroundings. The buffet dinner and breakfast are served in a beautiful wide room, and the food is simple and excellent. Prices are honestly fair. It was a pity to stay only 1 night: I will come again...
Read moreDecent hotel. Needs improvement. Breakfast is only between 8 am to 9 am. This is below industry standards, which is minimum 7am to 10am. No fresh fruits offered in summer, which is common other hotels at similar price points for breakfast. Broadly, healthy options are limited. If you have dietary requirements like vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, halal or kosher, you may want to bring your own food and skip paying for breakfast. Vegetarian/Vegan options are limited to lettuce, tomato, cucumber and capsicum (bell peppers). There's also a porridge. Breads are basic, you'll struggle to find any high fibre options. No fish, so pescatarians will need to eat vegetarian. Only one gluten free option (gluten free ham). Only one lactose free option (lactose free cheese). Staff at breakfast is sparse and generally hides behind the kitchen door. Overall, breakfast options are below other 3...
