Mommolan motelli is a small, apparently family-owned motel located at the crossroads of two main roads in Huittinen in western Finland. There is also a Teboil gas station at the same place. We chose this motel as a fast overnight alternative as we were traveling from Pori to Helsinki late in the evening, and wanted to sleep instead of driving through the night. The choice of staying at Mommolan motelli was a disastrous one. ||||Though this might sound abstract, the aura of the whole place gave us warning signals which we sadly did not allow ourselves to guide us - it just looked and felt SO dated and sad rightaway when we stepped into the place. The check in is done at the counter of the gas station - no mention of that anywhere by the way, so we searched for that for some time. The room, which cost a whopping 75 euros! - was just plain awful. The worst I've ever been in, by far - no competition there. The air was thick and damp, every surface was a bit worn, the interior was a mashup of different "styles", all very dated and plain ugly - like someone without any taste had been to a garage sale and bought every piece of cheap furniture that could be found. And I'm seriously NOT picky about these kinds of things, but this was SO way over the line that one can accept, that I'm really writing from my heart here. There was a large bug in the off-putting bathroom, which didn't exactly give us confidence either.||||Since this is a motel, our room was located in a house just behind the gas station. The house was one of two similar ones - a long, low 1-story house with perhaps 8-10 rooms and a flat roof. Outside every door, there were rubbish bins which hadn't been emptied in a long time, and some of the doors had very sad, lonely, worn chairs beside them.||||The breakfast which was included in the price was in line with the quality of the room - plain awful. The boiled eggs were the only items which weren't bad or disgusting. Some sweaty slices which resembled pizza, porridge, stale bread, some cheese, tomato and cucumber, and quite much CANDY?! That was about it. The coffee needs no words of it's own - I took a sip, that was it.||||I feel sad for the owners, who seem to be an old couple, who probably had a romantic dream when they started the place many years ago. Still, this place should be avoided. I have never been more sincere. The price-quality level is outside the scale,...

This is the first time this happened to me. It was so bad. I almost puked. Even the home made beer was gross. Candy for dessert what the hell?...
