Hilltop Forest — Hotel in Raseborg Sub-Region

A very special location in the middle of a forest as the name suggests :)

We stayed in a ”Hideaway” lodge with an outdoor toilet. All the hideaways have a huge window facing to the forest without any disturbing views.

Everything was new and super neat, all details very carefully thought of.

We had booked a private sauna/spa which is located next to the main building. The sauna is excellent even for my high Finnish standards :) Heats up with fire, like they should.

The main building with the reception also includes a restaurant area where we had a lovely pizza dinner. In the morning we were served a perfect breakfast in the same cosy room with the beautiful view. We had a choice to take the breakfast to our hideaway but we preffered the restaurant better.

So all together, perfect place for a weekend getaway, relatively short distanve from i.e. helsinki.

If I have to think of something to develope, I would say that I’d like to get a curtain to cover up the window in the Hideaway lodge. I know that the scenery is the ”thing” in these lodges, but for people who travel with a dog who is over-excited about the forest environment, it would be nice to get the room dark so that the rest of the family don’t have to wake up with the four-leg moron at 5:30 in the morning 😂 Also in the mid summer time some peiple could appreciate to get the...

Our friends must hate us because they got us a voucher for this place for a wedding present. The voucher was only valid for 3 months after purchase so that was crappy first of all. Small cabin room, bed was small, no wifi, but the aircon was good. The toilet was in a small building a few metres away, but it was one of those compost toilet where you have to put the soil on your poo, and there was a little bucket with a tap to wash hands, the hand soap and hand cream were nice though. The showers were shared and in a building like 50 metres from the room and I didn’t even bother to go look. There was no curtains in the room so they give you very small eye mask, I can’t sleep with eye mask even if it fits well. They give you 2 bottles of water which isn’t enough for 2 people and everything else you have to purchase. My husband had one beer- €9 and a pizza €20, I couldn’t stop laughing from shock at how small the pizza was when it came. The bed was small and not comfortable so I only slept 2 hours and we left at 6am before even getting breakfast to go...

Hilltop forestista ei paljoakaan muuta positiivista sanottavaa löydy, kuin että se oli todella rauhallinen mesta. Ja ihan kivan näköisiä huoneita. Metsänäkymä oli myös kiva, mutta kuitenkin täysin normaali suomalainen näkymä. Ehkä olen kuitenkin täysin väärä asiakas ja siksi en saanut paikasta mitään irti. Oman kokemuksen puolesta palaute on kohtalaisen negatiivista. -ei minkään sortin aktiviteetteja -pizza oli 20€ ja 20cm halkaisijaltaan. Pizzamenussa valittavana vain 4 eri vaihtoehtoa(hinnat 20€ ja 22€j ja hieman ”erikoisemmilla” täytteilla. Perustäytteitä kuten kinkku ei ollut saatavilla. -huoneissa on seinän kokoinen ikkuna, mutta ei verhoa -oluet 9/9,5€ -joudun jopa dissaamaan huoneiden lukkoja. Sillä niissä on 9-numeroinen koodi ja sisäpuolen lukkomekanismi oli niin epäselvä, että kun yöllä halusi käydä vessassa, ei voinut välttyä herättämästä kumppania kiroilulla ja kolinalla. (Ps: Olen 38v ja ihan normaaliälyinen.) -sängyt ovat 70cm leveät -.- -huoneissa on unimaskit jotka olivat niin kireät, että onneksi oli oma mukana. -huoneiden minibarissa oli kaksi pulloa vettä, millä ei pitkälle pötkinyt ja lisää olisi pitänyt varmaan hakea päätalolta reilu 100m päästä.
