Metsä Kolo — Hotel in Rovaniemi sub-region

We spent five summer days at Mestä Kolo with our two boys, and we just loved it! When we arrived a reindeer was waiting for us in front of the cabin, sighten upon us from top to toe, and then with a grumpy sight let us pass. We never got really used to them, but were just as excited each time one passed outside the window. || We had some lovely weather and spent the days swimming, sauna bathing, sup boarding, cycling, and visiting nearby attractions like the zoo and the Japan house with delicious original Japanese food! A few mornings I sneaked out while the kids were still sleeping to pick some cloudberries growing just around the corner. || In the middle of this typical idyllic Lapland landscape, the hostess Alexandra gives the place a international twist one did not expect to find there.
