One of the highlights of our trip to Finland 🤩 From the very beginning right to the very end, everything was just PERFECT! Online booking and email contact was just so prompt and easy. To get there we used public bus from Rovaniemi, bus stop is just in front ;) Room was just like on the picture, very clean and spacious. Nice and warm. With a sunset view. What we didn't know and were so positively surprised about, was that we could use a beautiful communal area containing cosy living room with a huge sofa and plenty of books, and a big table perfect for board games :) There also was filtered coffee, tea, cocoa and biscuits included in our stay, which we could have throughout a day. That was so nice and thoughtful 🥰 We really felt like at home. Breakfast was good, continental, with a big choice of cereal and milks, homemade oats, eggs, ham, cheese, etc. We had a chance of trying their tiny canapés with smoked raindeer and mini desserts of lappish cheese with cloudberry jam - that was sooo good.. ❤️❤️❤️ Evening restaurant was brilliant 👏 the chef is a real master! The mushroom soup from wild mushrooms was delicious. Sautéed raindeer with mashed potatoes and lingoberry sauce - a must have while you there, soft meat, creamy potatoes and sweetness of the finnish lingoberries ❤️ The chicken and a burger were the best my husband ever had according to him 😂 We did rent ice fishing equipment and spent a few hours on the frozen lake, taking pictures and catching a few perches. The chef later made us some fish and chips with what we cought! 👏👏👏 The snowy forest was just magical. White rabbit crossed our path. We felt so safe and away from any sort of civilisation, I just can't wait to be back...

We spent a few days at the **Lomakeskus** resort near Rovaniemi and were overall very satisfied. It’s an ideal place for anyone looking to escape city noise and enjoy Finnish nature. 🔹 **The Cabin:** We stayed in a wooden cottage — very cozy, well-heated, and fully equipped: kitchen, shower, and even a private sauna inside. It was warm even at -25°C outside. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere — just nature all around. 🔹 **Location:** It’s not far from the center of Rovaniemi if you have a car. Also a great base for visiting Santa Claus Village or taking excursions. 🔹 **Northern Lights:** Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to see the **Northern Lights** due to cloudy weather. But the staff kindly gave us tips on where to watch for Aurora and even offered snowmobile rentals for night tours. 🔹 **Service & Staff:** The staff were friendly and spoke English very well. They helped with transfers and provided good advice on activities. Reception was organized and helpful. 🔹 **Things to consider:** * If your main goal is to see the Northern Lights, plan to stay at least 4–5 nights and keep an eye on Aurora forecasts. * Bring **very warm clothes** — thermal layers, mittens, and proper boots are essential. * Renting a car makes travel easier, especially if you’re with children or older travelers. --- **Conclusion:** Lomakeskus is a great choice for a quiet holiday surrounded by nature. If you want to experience real Lapland in your own cabin instead of a hotel — this is the place. Even though we didn’t catch the Northern Lights, we were truly happy with our stay.

I lived in Palojärvi resort for 2 months while working seasonally in Rovaniemi. Even though I had a long commute that I drove every day, it was worth it. Everything worked flawlessly at the Palojärvi resort. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and the common living areas very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was really good, and in addition to that, coffee, tea and snacks were available from morning to evening. The resort's location and scenery are fantastic, I warmly recommend staying here.

Last December, I went to Finland for 8 days, and it was my first solo trip. I’m so glad I found this accommodation. It was just amazing—the peace and tranquility at the park was the best I’ve ever experienced. The hotel is great, very clean. The food was simple but truly delicious! All the people who work there are fantastic, each one super kind and always ready to help. Even the owner, Janne, is such a lovely man who did everything to make sure my stay was perfect. The rooms are a bit small but very cozy, and everything you need is available. A huge recommendation is to rent the hot tub with a sauna by the lake—HEAVENLY. You can take a lovely walk on the large frozen lake and then warm up with a coffee inside. It's also highly recommended to take a beautiful walk in the forest across from the park. It’s easiest to rent a car, as taxis are expensive and hard to find at the location. The owner will drive you to the city for a fee, which is much cheaper than the taxi prices. To summarize my story: if you love peace, nature, and simplicity, this is the perfect place to truly unwind! I hope to come back here someday, because it was my best vacation ever! Thank you,...
