Hotelli Alma's tower suite offered a really pleasant stay in Kristiinankaupunki. The Tower Suite was in two floors and was a really comfortable tiny apartment for us. The price is not the cheapest out there (170 euros per night), but the suite's decor is really nice and the bed was excellent. Otherwise the suite is pretty basic (especially bathroom), but overall the experience was really smooth and enjoyable.||||The suite is very suitable for a couple that wants to have a quiet stay in Kristiinankaupunki. The upper floor has a good table to play cards and enjoy breakfast. The suite had coffee maker and a small fridge so it was easy to do our own breakfast. The hotel does offer a breakfast, but it is served couple blocks away in a cafe.||||The location of the hotel is excellent and there is a big parking area just next to the hotel. Kristiinankaupunki might not be the busiest town in the area, but it is a nice little town with beautiful streets and houses. Also the nature paths turned out to be really nice ones and they are within walking distance...
Read moreI stayed here in Hotel Alma in June for 2 weeks. Communication beforehand with the owner was flawless and easy. Many positive features include central position in the town, large car park, beautiful views, superb cleanliness, thoughtful inclusions for coffee making and treats in the fridge, plenty of storage and hangers, jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, warm floor in bathroom, use of hotel's bicycles, sauna on ground floor.....and so much more! Loved the decor and the shipping theme throughout. Reception is at the sister hotel, Hotel Leila, a short walk away. The owner is so very friendly and personable. Nothing was too much trouble. I asked for some metal cutlery and china crockery to replace the plastic variety provided, as I was staying for a considerable time. It was done in a flash! I recommend this Hotel as the PREMIER place to stay in Kristinestad. I will return...
Read moreI spent one night here twice this summer/autumn. Off-season prize was a little cheaper than in the summer months, although the breakfast was in room too (packed in the fridge). This is the second building of the same Hotel duo Alma & Leila. The reception is situated in the Leila, which is a bit more "fancier". Nothing to complain in Alma though: nice clean and newly renovated rooms, free sauna in downstairs, free wifi in rooms and a quiet location. This building is an old fire station and there is a suite also in the tower, ||||Microwave oven is located in the second floor at hallway/kitchen, coffee machine and the fridge are in every room. These were wery usefull because the restaurant scene in this city is... well, there is only one lousy pizzeria within the walking distance...
