Hotel Red & Green — Hotel in Sydösterbotten sub-region

Närpiö is well known for harvesting tomatoes and cucumber, there's not much to see in this town except the church which was made during 1700 and the 150 wooden log cabins in front of it. Red & Green is the only hotel in the area and they do serve up to the mark. As there's not much to do in town so you will feel it like luxury in a lonely planet. Hotel has 30 rooms for guests and rooms are standard with all necessary equipments. The hotel restaurant is very good and their traditional tomato soup is a must try from menu. Hotel has it's own movie theatre with a standard screen size so that's a plus. Food menu is good. Wine list is good too considering the location and size of the hotel. Service is very good. As it's a swedish speaking part of the country so those who speak only English will survive well but not if you speak only Finnish. Todella hyvä hotelli, ehdottomasti parasta antia vähintään 50 kilometrin säteellä mihin tahansa suuntaan. Ison ja modernin hotellin tuntua & menoa pienessä pitäjässä. Samassa rakennuksessa elokuvateatterista (silloin kun esityksiä sattuu harvoin olemaan) lähtien ja lähistöltä löytyy kauppoja, kioskeja, ravintoloita jne.

Hotellin aamupala heinäkuussa 2018 oli parantunut vuoden takaisesta merkittävästi ja erityisesti hyvästä pekonista plussaa.

Söimme hotellilla myös 3 ruokalajin illallisen ja ruoka oli hyvää. Jonkun terveysintoilijan mielestä varmaan nieriä olisi ollut liian suolattua, mutta itse kyllä pidin siitä - eikä kyllä tullut mieleenkään lisätä suolaa. Tomaattikeitto oli hyvää, kuten tietysti Närpiössä pitääkin olla ja hotellin nimeäkin pohtien pitää olla. Jälkiruokakin myös ok ja isolla työllä tehty.

Virvokepuolella hinnat olivat ravintolatasoa, mutta halvemmat kuin yleensä hotelleissa eli viiniä, lonkeroa tai vaikka rommikolaa ei siten tarvinnut lähteä etsimään muualta hintojen takia, vaan nekin saattoi nauttia ravintolassa - ja sen aurinkoisella terassilla (joita itse asiassa on 2, eri...
