Lapland Hotels Olos — Hotel in Tunturi-Lapin seutukunta

We didn't actually stay in the hotel, but in the log cabins up the hill. But we spent a lot of time in the Lapland Olos Hotel and one of our group, Cathy, was known to some of the staff as she had worked in the area a few years ago. Anyone that we encountered from the hotel was exceptionally friendly and certainly made the rest of us feel so welcome. We loved relaxing in the hotel, kicking off our snowy boots and having a drink on the comfortable couches. We ate in the dining room one night, and on another night, we had a fabulous buffet in the adjoining restaurant. We were also there for breakfast another day (best porridge in the world!) We had a fantastic time in the area - we did a husky safari, we drove some snowmobiles & generally had a great time. It's been a fantastic memory and we are all now back in Cork, after an 18 hour journey, but it's been so worth it and huge thanks to the people of Olos for making our holiday...

Abbiamo soggiornato qui 4 giorni in occasione del capodanno. Abbiamo visto comodamente l'aurora boreale ed è stato indimenticabile!||||Struttura||Affaccia sulle piste di discesa e fondo e sullo ski rental ||Organizzata in più building comprende sauna, piscina, cinema, sala colazioni con veranda panoramica, sala buffet e ristorante Takka||Ospita anche la sede locale di Lapland safaris, ente che organizza escursioni con motoslitte, husky, renne, ecc||||Junior suite||Ampia e confortevole||Con cucina, asciugatrice, sauna e idromasaggio privati||Unica pecca: il building non è collegato internamente alla reception/ristorante quindi bisogna sempre usicre a -20 °C per i servizi (ma è anche la particolarità della vacanza)||||Ristorante Takka||Rivisitazione moderna della cucina tradizionale finlandese||Ambiente d'atmosfera con grandi vetrate che affacciano sul paesaggio invernale||Il servizio bar è lento e i tavolini non sono serviti||||Aurora Boreale||Avvistata facilmente durante la notte di capodanno||Ci si può appostare ai piedi delle piste se non sono troppo illuminate, sulla collinetta che si inerpica dai parcheggi o (siamo stati fortunati) dalla reception||||Capodanno||Il festeggiamento più bello della mia vita :-) ottima cena servita al Takka e festa ai piedi delle piste con falò, bbq, brindisi, scioglimento dei ferri di cavallo nel fuoco (rito finlandese), musica e tutto illuminato solo da candele e tizzoni ardenti.
