Hotelli & Ravintola Martinhovi — Hotel in Turku sub-region

As above, I am reviewing the restaurant only; didn't stay at the hotel. We celebrated my brother's birthday on a Sunday when the restaurant is not open for public. So, we had the whole place for ourselves = 18 family members. The place was clean and neat, with white tablecloths. We had to bring our own flower arrangements for the tables. It was a rich lunch buffet, with more food than we could eat. Everything was delicious; there were 3 different salads and (my favorite!) gravad lax to start with, then a tasty salmon dish, meat in gravy (Karjalanpaisti?), potatoes in different "fashions" and nice breads. Everything was very tasty, a positive surprise! And the young lady waitress, Saija Varonen, was friendly and helpful. The chocolate cake was extraordinary! I would warmly recommend this place for...

Can't say anything about the lodging facilities, but the restaurant is very popular, especially during lunch hour. This was my second time I had lunch there. The cosept is more or less the same as in most of the lunch restaurants in Finland; you pay by the counter and then you pick your food yourself from the buffet. They have a couple of warm options, different every day and then all kinds of vegetables. A dessert and coffee is included in the price. Well, the food is just fine and the place is crowded, but the concept itself turns even good food into...

I would not stay here again....had it not been for my favourite band playing in the area...I wouldn't go outta my way to stay here.....yes it was a last minute booking, but for 60 euro...this place was a dump....the description was that there was a resturant at the hotel that offers traditional Finnish meals....this is wrong as when I was there it looked like that the resturant had been ripped out!||The offer of breakfast was a wrapped sandwich and a takeaway coffee.||||If you have to go to Raisio...
