Youth Centre Marttinen — Hotel in Upper Savonia

We have stayed here a couple of times visiting family in the area. The accommodation is in four sets of cottages there being three cottages in each set and each cottage sleeping up to 8 persons. We have stayed in them as a couple and as four people (there are 2 bedrooms on each floor). The bedrooms are compact and there is a shower room / sauna on the ground floor.||||The lounge/kitchen is large with sofa, dining table, TV and DVD player and there is a terrace outside facing the lake. Try to get a lakefront cottage. Our only fault the the amenities is that there is no washing machine in the cottage though there is a dishwasher, though there are clothes washing facilities on the site.||||This is a 4 star place as the standard of the bedrooms do not warrant a higher rating though the position of the lakefront cottages is 5 star.||||The cottages are part of the Marttinen site which also containing a museum of local buildings as well as a restaurant and a small number of shops and also an old manor building sometimes used for weddings. Ihan parasta aikaa vietettiin täällä! Nautittiin ja aktiviteetit oli hauskoja! Yksi mitä erityisesti suosittelen on resinaretki. Voin myöntää että eka oli vähän ennakkoluuloja resinaretkeä kohtaan, mutta se olikin yks parhaista aktiiviteista ja ihan super hauska. Yläköysirata oli ihan kiva, vaikkapa vähän lyhyt, mutta kivaa silti oli. Ainoo syy miks antaisin 4 tähteä on se, että meidän majoitustilassa ainakin oli ihan surkea sisäilma. Mulla oli aika paljon päänsärkyä ja ihottumat paheni paljon. Tilat oli muuten aika kivat. Yhteinen olohuone ja keittiö oli kivat, mutta maakuhuoneiden ”laiva sängyt” voisivat vaihtaa sillä ne olivat aika kovat. Sauna oli aivan mahtava ja uimaankin pääsi! Teimme todella hienossa sauna rentoutumis tilassa myös lättyjä. Ruokailut olivat ihan hyviä. Olen maistanut parempiakin nuorisokeskus ruokia kyllä. Yhtenä päivänä kun olimme siellä niin kasvisruokailijoiden ruoat olivat merkitty todella epäselvästi ja kaverini ehkä päätyikin syömään ruokaa, joka ei ollut kasvista. Jälkkärit olivat kyllä...
