Peterzens Boathouse — Hotel in Vakka-Suomi sub-region

We slept in cabin 5 on a day that had 33°C / 92°F outside. The cabin was not equipped for this heat. It was very stuffy and not even a bottle of water was in the fridge. On the other hand, the fridge could not cool anything anyways. From the outside the cabin looks cute, the bathroom is clean, but the mattress was not good. We knew there would not be showers in the cabin, but we did not know that the showers available were all in one large room with no separators (women and men in different rooms). The cabins are very close to the water. The view is lovely and the mosquitos love how near the cabins are to the water, too! Small advice: Use a towel rolled at the bottom of the fly screens for additional mosquito protection...

The place is amazing. The experience of staying in the marina watching boats arriving and departing while enjoying a rather comfortable hut with astonishing views is unique. Having a good restaurant in the same harbour is also a plus, as there's not much else where to go in this area. The breakfast (included) was very good. Staff very kind and helpful. Quite overpriced if one takes into account that the hut is really small and with 1 meter more of construction they would have included a shower in the hut.
