Les Rêves de Baie de Somme Chambres d'hôtes , Table d'hôtes et Spa — Hotel in Abbeville

We spent one wonderful night at Les Reves de Baie de Somme and wished it had been more . Located in a quiet village about 30 mins from Saint Valery Ser Somme it was the perfect place to relax, unwind and be pampered and within easy reach of Le Croty , Abbeville, Saint Valery etc ( approx 2 hrs from Calais) . Our room was beautifully appointed with lots of uniquely crafted features ( made by the owner's Sandrine and Jose ) and had a view over the rear garden . The bed super comfortable and the additional touches such as a tray of tea/ coffee, selection of magazines and a seating area within the room much appreciated. There is an additional guest lounge downstairs with board games and a lovely selection of books and a TV if you needed it and although we didn’t use it there is a hot tub/ spa available. The highlight was the excellent meal prepared by the chef Jose utilising local and home grown ingredients and a choice of wines. It was so special and the menu fantastic . No attention to detail was missing . We were the only couple staying that night so we literally had our personal French chef for the evening 🥰 It was the last night of out French holiday and we could not asked for a more memorable one! What a lovely place! We stayed here twice during our holiday in June/July2025 and could not speak more highly of it. It is a small but beautifully presented property with very friendly and accommodating owners. On our first stay all four rooms were occupied and we shared our set meal in the dining room with three other couples. The atmostphere was very comfortable and the food cooked by chef and owner Jose was excellent. His wife Sandrine translated and explained everything on the menu and their home produced and cooked food was first class. |As we were the only guests staying on our return visit, we were unsure whether the meal would be as good, but in fact it was even better. We had probably the best meal we have had in France, and were made to feel very welcome. We had a wonderful stay at Rêve de Baie de Somme and it was one of the highlights of our six day tour of the region. Sandrine and Jose are charming and our room was lovely with everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well - it’s very quiet in the village with nice dark skies. The bathroom and shower were perfect. Jose prepared our three course evening meal which was very tasty and beautifully presented and we ate every crumb. There was a nice choice of wines and when we didn’t finish the bottle we had the option of taking the remainder with us. The continental breakfast was delicious with lovely fresh croissants and home baked bread as well as the local delicacy of ‘gateau battu’.
