Le Mas de Roussa — Hotel in Alès

We have just stayed in August 2024 for a family holiday and have had such an amazing time that we will and must return again to experience this small piece of paradise in the Cevennes !

The entire property and the gites were immaculate and luxurious and we made much use of the glorious pool, BBQ’s and grounds to indulge in much river and woodland walking and nature spotting including many animal species such as Otters, Beaver, Red Squirrel, Birds, Butterflies, Bats, Dragonflies and many more !

Darren and Anna looked after us very well and gave us many top local recommendations for exploring the local area including Wines Tasting, Antiques Fairs, Nature Walking, Hiking Trails, River swimming, Kayaking, Craft and Food Markets, Gorge and Mountain view points which made this an extra special experience.

The property was great for our elderly parents and also young children and there is much to do and see for entertainment and activities as well as the serious chilling and relaxing environment created for the perfect holiday !

We absolutely loved our stay and we shall certainly return as soon as possible and we can highly recommend Le Mas de Roussa and Darren and Anna and their lovely family as the perfect hosts...

A beautiful, charming place in the middle of nature. A 300-year-old building, restored down to the smallest detail. Great interior design, amazing flowers and plants. The apartments have everything you need - from a fully equipped kitchen to capsules for washing in the washing machine. Anna and Darren took care of the greatest possible comfort, but also exceptional cleanliness. Fresh croissants, home-made marmalade and cheeses were waiting for us on the good morning! Wonderful hosts, helpful in every topic. Guests have at their disposal a swimming pool with inflatable toys, a ping pong table and boules. On the property forest, a crystal clear river and in the neighborhood small towns and places for kayaking. It's been a long time since no place made such an amazing impression on us! We definitely recommend it and we will come back ...

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Le Mas de Roussa. Darren and Anna were really helpful hosts, suggesting restaurants and places to visit, none of which disappointed. The house is so well situated with the Ardeche and beautiful medieval villages within easy access. Equally it is well worth just staying at the Gite Noyer since the riverside grounds are beautiful and the environment really relaxing. The house is very comfortable with wonderful views. The pool area is a huge added bonus and I only wish we had had time to try the boules, we will return to give...
