I spent 4 nights here as part of a cycling holiday. I struggled to find good B&B accommodation near Bourg Saint Maurice when I was searching on the internet and am glad I found and decided on this one. The house is beautiful. My room was large. It had a separate bedroom and sitting area with a tv and it's own very nice bathroom. It had 2 door length windows which opened to a little deck. It looked out at beautiful mountains. The hosts Nathalie and Michel were fantastic. Both spoke English and were very very kind and welcoming people. The breakfast was of a higher quality than most B&Bs. Plenty of local cheeses, meats, yoghurt, fresh juice, croissant, home made jam etc. it filled me up before heading out riding. There is also good wifi in the rooms.||The only downside for a cyclist is that there is nowhere to put a few drinks and snacks to enjoy after a ride, although the owners say that such an area for guests is on their list of things to build. ||The home is located about 2km from Bourg Saint Maurice so you can walk there although it is a very steep first km to the main road. This also gets your heart pumping early as part of any cycling you do. ||If I ever come back to Bourg St Maurice I would definitely stay here. I can't believe there aren't hundreds of great reviews on this place on Trip...
Read moreWe stayed here only for one night but can thoroughly recommend Chalet de Thalie to all. It is an amazing chalet which has been renovated to give every modern luxury. This is not your average B&B. We loved the spa bath which was really relaxing after a day on the slopes. We had an amazing sleep ( just stayed a week in not so comfy beds in Courchevel!) and a delicious breakfast in the morning with particularly yummy croissants and jam. Nathalie is a lovely lady and she has a real eye for detail - all her linen and furnishings made you realise you are staying somewhere special in the mountains. It is not in Bourg St Maurice but just outside which makes it very relaxing and peaceful. There is no passing traffic or night time noise as it is in a lovely little hamlet. There is plenty of parking and if you are skiing or want to go up the mountain to Les Arcs there is a very easy route to the Funiculaire car park that avoids going through BS Maurice which can be busy at weekends. Lovely views, we must return perhaps in the summer months to stay a...
Read moreI don't know why there are so few reviews but here's mine:
Pros: We stayed there for a weekend in a room for 4 people. The room was very clean. One of the beds was 1.50 and the other one was 1.35. Both super comfortable. It had enough storage and a really nice shared terrace to place the skiis and also enjoy the view (which is beautiful)
The bathroom was clean and has everything you could possibly need.
Breakfast was also really good. Our hostess managed to make us feel super comfortable and made us fresh coffee. She was really nice and was also very reachable in case we needed something.
Cons: The only thing I'd say is maybe let the people know beforehand that you have a cat because I am allergic to them and didn't know why I was having an allergic reaction until I saw the cat! But otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much.
We will definitely recommend this place! Thank you very much...
