Camping Chelles — Hotel in Ambert

We stayed here for a week whilst on a combined holiday and business trip in the area. It is an excellent site in a beautiful location. Rolf and Monique, the owners, could not be more welcoming and run the site well. We ate at the restaurant on most nights of our stay and the food was simply wonderful, without exception.||There are excellent sights across the mountains and the whole site is very quiet with friendly guests and staff. There is public WiFi across the site, although this was sometimes unreliable and was slower than using 3G or 4G mobile telephone internet. Great camping to take some time off and reconnect with nature. Staff is very kind and helpfull. There are a lot of fun activities for example on thursdays you can enjoy the karaoke night, which is a lot of fun. The camping also hosts some great facilities such as a swimming pool, showers and laundry machines.

The food is great as well and includes a variety of dishes such as burgers and fries, pizza's and many more. The drinks are also great.

We were here touring with our motorhome, they have lovely pitches both in the shade of the trees or out in the sun. The toilet and shower blocks are clean and tidy and there is a handy laundry. Fresh bread is available each day and the bar/cafe serves a table hote each day.||The swimming pool is lovely but could do with some furniture around it to sit on whilst watching the more energetic in the water.||The owners are Dutch but speak bothe French...
