Bassinaud Hameau — Hotel in Angoulême

We stayed with our 2-year-old daughter in the residence Eifel. When we arrived in the evening, Gideon and Helen had already provided everything for dinner and breakfast so we did not have to go to the shop; fresh mirabelles and tomatoes from the garden and fresh eggs! The property is so big that you can relax undisturbed and children can play freely in the garden. Gideon and Helen have super cute dogs, cats and chickens, ideal for children to make friends! We immediately felt very welcome, the cottage has every comfort and everything is provided. If something is not there or you need something the owners are ready to help you! There are all kinds of activities nearby or a bit further away, activities for children were also considered! Lovely and quiet, we enjoyed our week and went home with...

We can’t speak highly enough of the hospitality of Gideon & Helen, and the beauty of their hamlet. We stayed last year and we knew we’d love to come back with our family to celebrate our wedding this year - we didn’t think there would be enough space for us but Gideon & Helen were able to help to accommodate us all. They went over and above to help with our wedding celebrations - the courtyard area in particular was perfect for group dining. Nothing was too much to ask of them; we were even able to pick some of the beautiful flowers to make bouquets. The surrounding area has lots of lovely towns to visit, the swimming pool is perfect for cooling down in the summer heat. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay at Bassinaud; we will definitely be back for an anniversary...

Stayed at Bassinaud for my daughter’s wedding celebration, along with all the family. The accommodation was lovely and clean and well equipped, along with a lovely welcome pack of essentials. Gideon and Helen made us all feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. Set amongst stunning scenery with a lovely pool and lots of areas to sit and peacefully relax and watch the fantastic sunrise and sunsets! Our party was of varying ages and tastes and we all found plenty to do and enjoy. Lovely large communal BBQ area where me met nearly every night and enjoyed good food and drink and each individual accommodation had its own private area and BBQ if you wanted something quieter. A fantastic place to stay and well placed for exploring too - would thoroughly recommend this...
