My family had the most fantastic Easter break at Les Vergers Du Faure!||Rebecca and her team gave us such a warm welcome after our nightmarishly long drive from the UK. We arrived much later than expected and hadn't made any provisions for dinner. Having told this to Rebecca we were so surprised to find that within less than 30 minutes we were all sitting down to the most delicious 3 course supper in a beautiful dining room in the main house.(The red onion and cheese tart was exceptionally good!)||Our Gite accommodation was fantastic, super super clean yet still with a plenty of rustic charm. The kitchen was surprisingly large so was great for having breakfast and for preparing lunches etc.||Nothing was too much trouble for Rebecca, she gave us some fantastic tips and ideas of things to do in the area, use of bicycles for all the family and the chance to interact with animals such as ponies, goats and pigs! This was a real hit with the kids and the main reason they wish to return!||We shall definitely be back this summer as we have had such a great family holiday!||Perfect french...
Read moreJust returned from a fantastic 2 week family holiday. Before we went we were a little worried that it may be a little too quiet for the kids (11 & 7), but they absolutely loved all that was on offer: the animals, the tree houses, the boat on the lake and the plum picking. There was also loads to do near by, the Nautilus aquatic centre and aerial adventure (tree top walks) just a short drive away.||||Les Vergers itself was stunning. The gite was perfect, really well appointed and although there was one slight problem (getting locked in the toilet) the staff were really helpful and sorted the problem out straight away. The peaceful location was perfect and I cannot recommend the place highly enough. An aspect that really made the holiday was the staff - they were brilliant and made this a holiday to remember - especially the nights around the brazier drinking the obligatory red...
Read moreI couldn't disagree more with the review left by Greg D. That review is extremely unfair!! This is really a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful, tranquil and very comfortable. The hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful to us during our stay. The other guests and workers at Les Vergers (Aussie couple especially) were extremely friendly and great fun to share our time with. We had barbeques most nights, swam in the pool and sat up very late drinking and relaxing, watching the stars and were able to see the milky way!! The kids loved the pool and the pony and trap rides Rebecca took them on. (The animals are very well cared for if not spoilt) Great location with plenty to see within relatively easy driving distance. Remember, France is BIG!! By the way, Rebecca does speak French, I heard her on the phone!! Book with...
