We enjoyed staying in our large ground floor room when looked out across the valley to the stunning mountain side opposite. We came to do Cross country skiing, so we were happy to have the small cabin at the start of the pistes right next door ( visible from the bedroom window). The pistes do not open until 9am so people being around was not a problem. You can take off directly from the hotel to go skiing on several local loops as well as skiing to the local village of Le Grand Bornand. You can also connect with ski pistes at Chinaillon and La Cluzaz via ski bus. We were reliant on the local ski bus to get around as we came via TGV to Annecy and Altibus, no car. They were very efficient, but they stop too early (6.50 back to the hotel) to be able to use them to go into the village to eat in the evening. There is a great local restaurant and bar across the road, but it was closed on Monday and Tuesday evenings. If you are going for a short break without a car, book Wednesday to Sunday! Anna was very friendly and helpful. She will make sandwiches to take out or eat in with if...
Read moreHighly recommanded for a peaceful retreat. This chalet is down a quiet country road, in a valley a short distance from town. As others have said, the chalet offers comfortable rooms, tasteful Savoie alpine décor, an interesting building out of wood and plaster that has an old traditional look but is warm and comfortable. We had a triple room on the ground floor, radiant floor heating, tiles, white linen and wool comforters, and a lovely alcove bed for our 11 yr old son. Breakfast included a variety of breads, cake, pastries, salami, cheeses, coffee, tea, juices, fromage blanc with a lovely fruit coulis, fruit, local jams and jellies. A 5 minute drive to the closest ski lift or you can take the bus that stops right in front of the chalet (ticket was included with the room). Ping pong table in the basement. WIFI, cellphone reception was not always available given location...but quite frankly we were happy to have our son off his tablet...
Read moreWe stayed for 2 nights over a long week-end. The chalet is so pretty and so local... Could not resist giving a review. The rooms and the chalet are arranged with great taste and you can really feel like home there. In summer view on the golf course gives a nice atmosphere additionally to e mountain view... Breakfast is also full of care with lots of local product (cheese, ham, but also local cake and jams such as pine tree jam). ||The staff/owner is very friendly, full of good advice and showing interest without being too present. All in all a very very pleasant stay. Would...
