La Ferme du Gran Shan — Hotel in Annecy

It’s a beautiful home without a doubt and we had a fantastic time here. But I can not fully recommend it until the builders have gone behind the chalet. They are building a massive chalet and it is literally overlooking the outdoor dining area. So builders can see you eating your breakfast and lunch !!! We were warned that the building had started and took a small reduction on cost but we were also promised that they wouldn’t be working. Suprise suprise they turned up on the first morning with a digger at 8am!! So it will be interesting to see how this all works out. Do be careful if thinking of booking.

Sophie the home manager is lovely and was very attentive and apologetic to the problem. The chalet itself is really lovely and has pretty much everything you could ask for. The pool was fun but it is not separate from the jacuzzi - it is all one piece with jets up one end. A bit weird but sort of works! The furnishings are lovely and it was very clean overall. Such a pleasant experience. We were 3 families (13 people), and you didn't felt crowded. It has a big space ,every one had its place. Mensonges et déception. Voici les 2 mots qui qualifient notre séjour dans ce chalet. L'annonce promets des prestation grand luxe avec calme en pleine montagne. Pour 900€ par nuit, nous avons eu droit à des prestations défectueuses : le sauna n'a pas fonctionné durant les 5 jours de séjour, le vélo elliptique était branché mais ne fonctionnait pas (de plus la prise se trouvait par terre près du jaccuzzi et de l'eau, très dangereux !) Et le jaccuzzi, parlons-en : il a été hors service toute une journée car l'eau avait tourné, nous avons du attendre avant que quelqu'un vienne s'occuper de ce problème pour au final, aucune solution. Et le clou du spectacle : des travaux de chantier sur le terrain juste derrière, travaux dont les propriétaires étaient au courant et nous ont caché jusqu'à notre arrivée alors que l'annonce promettait calme à la montagne.
