A precious gem in the heart of Luberon. Who knew? We decided to stay at Mas Dansavan, this new B&B in Oppède because we were close to Gordes and had just finished up the markets in Apt. What a treat to meet Michel & Anne Marie - their place is FANTASTIC. From the warm and friendly greeting on our arrival, great correspondence before coming about where to dine, parking, etc to our breakfast, just wonderful.||Our rooms were fantastic with strong A/C in the middle of June and impeccably decorated. Each room was named after a famous Moroccan town so it was easy to remember. The pool was heated to 27 deg and we enjoyed some wine by the pool before heading to La Table Gourmande a restaurant where Michel recommended. ||They also have wedding and large conference capabilities here as well. Michel showed me their brand new space and it was just stunning. Breakfast was fresh croissants, jams, toasts and breads with fresh yogurt and fruit, a choice of juices, coffee and/or tea. Their customer service is perfection and their eagerness to help us have an amazing time made me wish we were staying much longer. We will...
Read moreDespite the awful weather (rain every day) the 5 nights I stayed here was exactly what I needed. I rented the cottage slightly off season (mid April) so the the villages were not full of tourists. I had access to a bike while here and cycled to all the local towns. Gordes, Oppède old town, Isle de Surgue, Roussillon and Apt. I saw abbeys, museums, and outdoor markets to die for.||||Mas Dansavan was a good location away from time the hustle and bustle. I wish the weather had been better for an afternoon cocktail by the pool. It looked inviting. The breakfast was simple with homemade yogurt, and breads and coffee. The owners were very welcoming and helpful for planning the day, providing extra pillows, and even picking me up from train station in Cavaillon. I highly recommend anyone stay here. Good WiFi, plenty of parking and a quiet and...
Read moreWe had a last minute booking on our way back to the UK from the coast. Mas Dansavan is in a very rural setting, but easy to find. Anne-Marie welcomed us warmly and showed us to our lovely room, decorated in Provencal style, with a good size bathroom. We had a quick swim in the outdoor pool which we had to ourselves - beautifully tranquil! And then we went out to dinner at one of the restaurants in Menerbes that Anne-Marie and Michel had recommended. Delicious and plentiful breakfast served on the terrace, with Michel and Anne-Marie on hand at all times to bring more jam, or offer advice as to where to visit locally, etc - they were warm, efficient and friendly, and great hosts! After a quick walk round the surrounding lavender fields, we headed off. We can thoroughly recommend Mas Dansavan for a tranquil, relaxing stay in...
