Mas de Veroncle was an amazing property at the edge of Gordes, the most beautiful village in Provence. It has accommodated our group of 2 families of 4 ( 4 adults and 4 kids in total) in its spacious 3 bedrooms and a mezzanine bed which could be counted as the 4th bedroom. There are 2 full baths and separate sinks in the bedrooms. Adjoining the villa there are two covered patios where we had the most amazing mornings eating freshly made croissants. The yard is very big and has a great swimming pool, a ping pong table, hammocks and another sitting area.
The property is surrounded by tall trees and on the path to great hikes. We hiked to Gordes in about 40 minutes one morning and we saw one deer.
The owner is very easy going and informed us ft things to do nearby and she is very responsive on Whasapp.
I would recommend this property to any group of 8 - 10 people who want to have a home-base to explore Gordes and other villages in Provence or just enjoy the easy pace of life...
Read moreCan’t say enough about our stay at Mas de Veroncle. This stone farmhouse has been beautifully fixed up and is well appointed for small groups or extended families. Bedding configurations are very flexible and the whole house has an authentic charm. The pool area was a particular highlight for everyone in our group as well as the hiking trails adjacent to the property. We were concerned about high forecasted temperatures during our visit but the 7-inch stone walls and moderate evening temperatures me ant we never needed to use the AC units (though they are available in every bedroom). Other feature worth noting are the wood-fired grill in the kitchen, which we did not get a chance to use and a gas-fired plancha adjacent to the kitchen on a covered patio. We want to make particular mention of our host who really went out of her way to assist with local recommendations and spent considerable time showing us around her...
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay in Mas de Veroncle, the villa was absolutely beautiful, calm and tranquil. The pool is large and has a good amount of sun loungers with cushions, it’s in a sunny spot perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to cook meals very easily and eat on the huge table under the awning. The house is decorated nicely and has all the amenities we needed including extra pool towels and the bedrooms were so cosy, with comfy beds. The villa is situated perfectly- near two beautiful towns of Gordes and Roussillon which were a pleasure to explore but fairly secluded with no neighbours overlooking the pool. Corinne was lovely and made us feel very welcome on our first day with a mini tour of the house. I would absolutely recommend it to family...
