Les Rouges Gorges — Hotel in Arcachon

|The property is located in a very quiet and secure lane with off road parking. We where greeted with a wonderful smile and a warm welcome. The part we stayed in had two double bed a toilet and a separate modern bathroom. It had a little terrace too. It was spotlessly clean, and beautifully furnished and stocked. There is a separate kitchen with a freezer, a little hob and sink all again beautifully clean and newly refurbished.||We slept well it was very warm could have done with a fan but we opened the windows full on both sides and had the wooden shutters closed so cooled a bit.||Breakfast was at what time we wanted and was a breakfast of kings we where really full and didn’t eat lunch until 2pm after having breakfast at 8.||Pancakes, breads and home made preserves, Omelette, fresh fruit and yoghurt. All totally lovely.||They were really friendly and lovely with our dog too. ||Location and styling, we where driving to Spain and it’s an ideal first stop if you want to do Spain with just one stop. Close enough to the road but not so close you can hear it.||They do a nice range of evening meals and the local french beer...

Spent a night here after a long road trip. The peace and quiet, a warm welcome, and the clean cool room, opening onto the garden, was very welcome. This b&b can offer an evening meal but we chose to prepare our own in the communal kitchen. Our dog could be taken into nearby woodland without any boundary to cross .... Even if he had to kept under control .... A resident cat and a neighbouring dog being a little exciting. Value was good .... Very reasonable rate. A good stop...

Na een wat rommelige autorit (kapotte koppeling...) werden wij bij aankomst in Lugos op warme wijze ontvangen door Gilles en Mari-Ange. Zij reageerden heel gastvrij op onze eerste vragen en verzoeken. O.a. met een kleine kaart met lokale gerechten voor een avondmaaltijd; helaas hadden wij onderweg al gegeten, want het zag er lekker uit...|Het huisje zelf is netjes, mooi, doordacht en compleet ingericht.|De keuken in de ruimte ernaast was voor ons een welkome aanvulling, met een koelkast, ijsblokjes, glazen en andere ‘extra’s’. |Het grote tweepersoons-bed lag comfortabel, we hebben goed geslapen. De omgeving is rustig, je loopt zo de dennenbossen in (ook fijn voor onze hond;).|Vanaf het terras achter het huisje kijk je uit op een mooie tuin, wat een privé-gevoel geeft. ‘s Morgens hebben we hier heerlijk kunnen ontbijten. De eigenaars serveren een typisch Frans landelijk ontbijt, met diverse soorten vers brood, jam, sinaasappelsap, fruit en zelfgemaakte cake.|Voor ons was Les Rouges Gorges een perfecte stop-over onderweg tussen Nederland en Zuid-Spanje, maar deze plek leent zich ook prima voor een...
