Château du Pommoy — Hotel in Autun

My friends and I rented out the Chateau du Pommoy for a weekend and can only recommend it! Iteke is a lovely host and made everything very easy from planning our arrival to accommodating different requests we had. The Chateau du Pommoy is very tastefully decorated, very clean, with cosy bedding, newly refurbished bathroom and kitchen. There is a lot of space to hang out both inside and outside: there were 12 of us during the weekend, but we could have eAsily been several people more without feeling crammed. The garden is also very beautiful, with an amazing view of the hills and part of the evergreen forest of the Morvan. In fact, there are several hiking trails starting right next to the chateau (no need to drive) to explore this very bucolic and peaceful area. The kitchen is also fully equipped so that you can make meals throughout your stay - which you may want to do as the closest restaurant is 15mins drive away from what I could tell (we ate all meals at the chateau, but Iteke also mentioned that dhe could help us organise for a caterer to come if necessary). A wonderful stay at Chateau du Pommoy! I have planned a big New Year’s celebration with my friends and family traveling from the US and Geneva for months and the Chateau was the perfect place for our group. Iteke and her husband are very nice. Iteke was super responsive throughout the whole planning, responding to my questions within hours and providing all the detailed information and recommendations. Beautiful newly renovated Château in the middle of the nature. Every room has his own private bathroom with great beds. There is a big garden with a big swimming pool and a beautiful panoramic view.
