Chambres d'Hôtes Les Colas — Hotel in Auxerre

We had an amazing stay with Linda, Toby and Nelly. A beautiful location for the house, a very warm and friendly atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the very relaxed but entertaining evening meal, starting with canapés in the garden, followed by 3 beautiful courses with a real emphasis on local ingredients and suppliers, plus one of the best cheese boards ever! The breakfast was exactly what we needed, fresh coffee and croissants, selections of cereals and so on. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was immaculate and comfortable, as was the entire property. Even the modern bathroom deserves a shout out, after a long drive a proper shower is always welcomed and this was no disappointment. Overall we can’t thank Les Colas enough for a great stay, with guests also from France and Germany at the table we had a really enjoyable exchange of stories and culture, of course some humour too. We hope to return in the not too distant future and would encourage anyone to stay there too, Guedelon being just up the road is perfect. ...

Linda and Toby have created an absolute gem here. The rooms and public spaces are thoughtfully and tastefully finished to a very high standard and the meals were among the best (and definitely the best value!) we have found in France. Nous avons eu le plaisir de faire une halte chez Linda et Peter lors de notre road trip à moto, et quelle merveilleuse surprise ! Leur chambre d’hôte est un véritable petit havre de paix. Le lieu est tout simplement magnifique, reposant, décoré avec beaucoup de goût et d’une propreté irréprochable. Chaque détail est soigné, que ce soit dans la chambre ou dans l’ensemble de la maison.

Nous avons également eu la chance de profiter d’un excellent repas le soir, savoureux et convivial, suivi d’un délicieux petit-déjeuner le lendemain matin, généreux et plein de bonnes choses.

Linda et Peter sont d’une gentillesse rare, accueillants, attentionnés, et leur compagnie fut un vrai plaisir. Nous avons passé un moment particulièrement agréable chez eux, dans une ambiance chaleureuse et authentique.

Tout était parfait, vraiment. Si vous passez dans le coin, n’hésitez surtout pas une seconde à vous arrêter chez eux. Vous serez ravis, tout comme nous l’avons été.
