Lagrange Vacances - Les Pescalunes — Hotel in Béziers

We stayed for a week in a small wooden cabin. The cabin is regularly but not thoroughly cleaned (a lot of filth in places that aren't mentioned in the "cleaning protocol" when leaving like on top of the water heater etc). The pool is impeccably clean. One reason for booking it was the "playground", de facto it is one slide in full sun, so it's better suited for frying something than entertaining your children. Grilling not allowed (obviously, because of the forest fires), but you can rent an electric grill (20€ per week, a new one from the supermarket will set you back about 30-40€... The location is fine: close to Hyper U, various beaches & touristy Cap d'Agde but noisy Friday & Saturday night due to Ile des Loisirs . Our 6 person chalet was satisfactory in terms of space for 4 people. Previous occupants must have had dogs as mattress covers were covered with dog hair. Reception did exchange dirty covers for clean covers. 2 single beds were very narrow but mattresses were firm. Hot water was dangerously hot. Good fridge & freezer, no oven, only microwave & 3 electric hobs but who wants to cook in hot temperatures! Pool was fine but we only used it twice as we were there for the beaches. This complex of chalets on the side of a wooded dormant volcano is a fantastic central location, with easy access to local amenities. The beach is 10 minutes drive and hypermarket only 5 minutes away. The complex itself has a lovely pool and breathtaking views over the wonderful scenery.
