My partner booked our two night stay here as he used to come here many years ago as a child. I have to admit, I wasn't bowled over when we first arrived - first impressions are that the site is a bit tired - very old ping pong tables, old bikes and trikes and a smallish swimming pool. However I was happily proven wrong. Our cabin was toward the back of the site and was pretty much new. It was immaculately clean and big enough for the time we were there. The site is smallish (which is actually our preference) and the first night/day we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The kids had a blast there. They didn't care if the equipment was new or old. They enjoyed the playground and racing around the site in trikes. The swimming pool although small, was heated and clean and did the job perfectly well - again our kids thought having a pool on hand was great. Our toddler daughter loved the few farm animals that were there. |Despite most close by attractions being closed (including the theme park near by) , we had a lovely time wandering around the small town and then playing on site. When it rained hard in the late afternoon, we went for a swim and then snuggled up under the shelter at our cabin under some blankets, had dinner and watched some films on the iPad. It was lovely quality time together. |The owners seemed very nice and helpful and the breakfast that was delivered in the mornings was well worth the money.|I would definitely recommend here for a stop over of a couple of nights. Hopefully we...
Read moreStayed one night on the way back home from holidays in Nice with three kids aged 8, 6 and 2. Stayed in the roulette called "Beuette". ||||Arrived around 6pm, the older ones enjoyed the pool which is open until 8pm on a Friday in August. The little one walked around and was journeyed around the place in push-carts and tricycles made available. She was very intrigued by the fat pig, less so by the ckicks.||||For dinner we walked to the nearby McDo (300m). We felt like after 3 weeks of healthy eating, we deserved the convenient solution :)||||It was very convenient to find out that breakfast could be ordered at 8€ for adults and little less for kids. This way, you recieved just what you needed for next morning in the Roulette. It would have been even better if we did not have to eat it in the room, would have saved us the hassle of washing dishes.||||There's actually quite some stuff to visit here - champagne caves, amusement parc, abbaye, etc. So I'm contemplating coming back in this area.||||All in all, very...
Read moreHaving stayed across all of France in mobile homes or hotels, we fancied a change and something a little bit different.
We booked a quirky caravan and it's been a fab experience.
The site itself has a nice pool, lots of things like table football, table tennis, play area, trampoline for the kids and the bar looked good too.
The site is on the edge of a small town centre, but you wouldn't know unless someone told you; it's lovely and quiet. But if you want a large supermarket it's a 2 minute walk. It has the best of both worlds.
Nigloland is 10 mins by car.
If you're looking for somewhere to stay to visit Nigloland or a stop location it's super. I'd happily stay here for a week if there was enough locally to visit for us personally (we've got kids and champagne doesn't do anything for them! ).
Definitely recommend and would...
