Stayed in Kaz A Léa for 6 nights. The lodge is beautiful, full of space and practical with its kitchen and fridge. You have amazing view at the sea from the top floor. Jacuzzi and Japanese bath were a part of the cottage, which we enjoyed a lot. It was a perfect location for our daily trips by car. ||However, having experiences with another comparable hotels for nearly the same price there is clearly a room for improvement. ||First of all, Kaz A Lea is the first cottage on the access route to the ecolodge complex, you hear everyone coming and leaving by car. Running away from the noise of a capital city, I wish someone would informed us about that.||Secondly, their breakfast was a disappointment for that price - just an example of their fruit salad which consisted every day of a watermelon, pineapple and mango - no change, no exotic fruits. Skip their baguettes as well. ||I was surprised by the towels - small and old.||On the other hand, a very nice lady who cooked and delivered the delicious food was the highlight of their service. ||Spa was fun to try in a very nice environment but I would not focus my stay only on spa activities because the complex is quite small. ||Our trip to Guadeloupe was postponed due to covid which we got shortly before the departure. Every hotel and rental we had to contact did not have any problem with the change of dates without any penalty, except Tendacayou, which kept more than 500 euros for the postponed reservation. ||The topic of payment/conditions/insurance was discussed straight after our arrival and during our stay (and of course before we even arrived). I would prefer not to start my honeymoon, after a long travel and lack of sleep by money oriented topic and pressure. We learnt that the hotel changed covid internal policy only one week before we had to postpone our trip, therefore several months after we made our reservation. We rebooked our stay for more days compared to the original plan. It would be probably fair to keep the same approach for people who booked it a long time ago or better communicate information on the covid conditions when policy changes. I understand that the covid situation is not easy for hospitality business at all, but it is not easy for people traveling neither, especially if they take the risk to support the business. I would understand it better if it would be a case of a tiny business, lacking bookings which is surviving on every single reservation. Honestly, I do not think this is their case. ||||Conclusion - ask about the environment around the chosen cottage so that you will not have a route on your toes. Lower your expectations about breakfast, but also cosmetics (no information what are you actually using) and towels provided by the hotel. Book it only if you are 150% sure you can make it (= you're immune...

This is an oasis and deserves 5 stars. Now you have to know this is isolated and truly for those wanting to unplug. There is little to no internet up there and you will certainly need a car. The grounds are like you are in a canopied rain forest. The cabins were the most interesting open air concept I’ve encountered. You get there, I forgot the name of my cabin, it’s on the ground level walk right through a little gate not meant for security , probably just whimsy Open one slide in right into a cabin with no windows and the only “ door “ being that gate you encountered. It was pleasantly larger than I expected. The kitchen had a jump off directly into the pool! This room had a wooden Japanese tub and this is the most unique addition I’ve ever seen in a hotel accommodation. The bedroom had open doors on both sides that you could choose to leave open ( I did the first two. Nights) and waking up naturally to birds chirping and the sun shining was magical. It was especially soothing when it rained at. Night. The grounds were outstanding almost like a forest of sorts lots of built into this intimate forest like atmosphere privacy. They had multiple treatment rooms ( sauna, massages, variations of hot tubs)etc. they even had a fish pedicure ( stick feet in and fish nibble) . They had a really nice roof lookout that served light snacks teas and juices. The one thing to be aware . English is not spoken here just French. Know some basic French before you arrive in Guadeloupe period. There was one person in the office that spoke some English and no one else did. That was a bit challenging, not just here but the entire island. Outstanding place and I can’t wait...

Tendacayou is awesome! My husband and I spent three nights in the Dou Dou treehouse. The view of sea and sky from our "living room" was beautiful. We were serenaded by birds all day, and tree frogs at night. Be sure to have dinner delivered to your cottage while you're there - we grilled our fish right on our dinner table, which was such a cool surprise! Breakfast of our choice was delivered to our room every morning, and was lovely.|We also enjoyed our private garden with two outdoor showers (one was cold water only), hot tub, and Japanese tub (which we didn't use).|We enjoyed a couples' massage at the spa, Swedish style, which was very pleasant and relaxing. The atmosphere at the spa is truly unique, as all spaces are outdoors in the incredibly lush surroundings. We did not venture down to the swimming pool, so I can't comment on that.|Muriel was a fantastic hostess who spoke excellent English, so I didn't need to bother with my really bad, elementary French. She made a dinner reservation for us at La Kaz in Deshies one night - highly recommended. The host there knew we were coming and seated us right away. Dinner was delicous.|Although we've been married over 20 years, it felt like a honeymoon. Tendacayou is romantic and so different than anywhere we've stayed in the Caribbean. If you don't mind sharing your space with some birds or tiny lizards (they eat bugs!), you'll love it. Mosquitos were not a problem at all, although mosquito coils and nets are provided. We loved our stay here and hope to...

This spa was beautiful and relaxing. Me and my fiance got the honeymoon package which included an hour to spend in the spa gardens, hot tubs, & hammam. The setting jungle setting, running waters, and were very few other guests made the environment very serene. We then got a 60 minute couple Swedish massage, and an hour in the Japanese bath with glasses of champagne. The Japanese bath was so soothing and included coconut milk and essential oils. After the honeymoon package, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Le Poisson Rouge, the on site restaurant. The seafood was fresh and delicious! I especially enjoyed the smoked mackerel appetizer. Highly recommended and next time we will definitely stay overnight. The picture is the view from the spa terrace. :)
