Good parts: clean! its well equipped; microwave is a plus and there is enough cutlery for up to 8 guests wooden table outside + 2 deck chairs is great. separate rooms for the kids is nice (less arguments).

The tent pitches are generous many of which have some amount of shade, very few are in total sunlight. Although, choosing a pitch of your liking is impossible as it is handled automatically by the electronic check-in system at the reception.

Beach is neat with fine sand and you can spot small fish at the shore, water is mostly clear.

There is a restaurant on the campgrounds, menu choices are few but the food is tasty.

The campsite has good proximity to the Bastia harbour and I think this might bring a lot of it's downfalls. Because of the proximity many will choose it for a short stay, and will not threat the place as their home, going too fast with the vehicles and raise a incredible amount of dust. The toilets are mainly clean in the morning after cleaning, the same 1-day tourers are wreaking a havoc there too IMHO, the kids have their own miniature toilets which is a neat thought. You have to carry a toilet paper roll with you when needed...

Our daughter has a breathing problem(asthma) that was aggravated by the dust issue and we asked for an earlier checkout because of it(checking out after 11 days instead of the 19 days that were paid in advance) and we were told that we can checkout but that there will be no refund... The personnel seemed to be fine with the idea of taking money for services not rendered, asking about a penalty but not the full amount was met with the same response as above, no reimbursement... We had to force our way from the pitch with too much dust as the personnel told us we can't move but then we could, and we ended in a pitch without dust but where you could not sleep that well because of the noise from the cars that everyone else is mentioning.

All in all we'll choose SanDamiano as a transition camping in future but not for...

A good campsite for relaxing, swimming in the sea and enjoying nature near the Bastia and ferry. •Multilingual Front Office (I heard one Agent speaking fluent French, English and German) and a big monitors for self-booking in campsite. Hard-working and polite Housekeeping. The whole area looked very neat and well-kept. Despite the fact that camping is not new. (Thank you for your work!) •The beach was clean, empty, sandy and wide. There were no complaints about the sea in June either. Entry into the water is smooth. The view of Bastia is magnificent. Sunrise is breathtaking. •I never understood why there are pools near the sea, but it is there, and there are people there. There are also tables for table tennis, free Wi-Fi, board games and flowers ;) What was unexpected: •Cleaning fee 99€. Be ready to hand over the house in the same condition as it was at the time of check-in. Other way — pay. * We were not warned about this when we checked in. •Inventory. I don't know if it was necessary to fill it out, but I received a list of the things in the house (expected — actually). We spent half an hour checking whether everything was available. Spoiler: there were mismatches. •Pre-authorisation: 300€. I think that’s a guarantee that the aforementioned inventory will not be taken away. Or something won’t be broken. But still. •Additional payment for bed linen and towels per person. •Bungalow’s by booking.com was almost 2 times cheaper than on spot. •Aircraft noice (apx. 5-7 per day). Overall: We are satisfied with our experience 👌🏼

We also spent only 1 night here, arrival 24.8. 17:00, check-in without problems, again we paid by card 300€ deposit for the mobile home (returned to the card the next evening). We got a 3-bedroom mobile home right by the pool and the evening program, so especially the karaoke evening was worth it, fortunately only until 23:00. Equipment of the mobile home standard, air conditioning without problems but wifi was weak, it dropped out quite often. Parking was easy in front of the mobile home, the beach was about 150m away, and the campsite supermarket (Carrefour Express) was also a bit far, they had all basic things you need on holiday, although at higher prices. On the day of arrival we tested the pool - the water was pleasant (warmer than in the Porto Vecchio campsite), maximum depth about 1.6m, you could also swim, the beach in the campsite is sandy, clean, access to the water is great, the water is also clean, not too deep). Next day check out at 10:00 am but we stayed on the camping beach until 16:00 and we enjoyed also the pool. There is a very nice lake right across the road, ideal for a walk or a run.
