Hôtel & Résidence Lido Marana — Hotel in Bastia

The family stayed here for one night as our flight was early the next morning and we needed to get to the airport quickly. We did not use the pool although we would have loved to. It is in sort of an industrial estate so not a travel destination area but it is close enough to surrounding areas of interest to make it worthwhile and less costly than other similar sized accommodations. Downtown Bastia is 10 min by car but parking in Bastia is a nightmare so this is convenient. |The apartment was nice, big, clean and had everything you needed. The kitchenette part of the apartment requires payment of an additional fee to access. Breakfast also is available for a fee. |We forgot a few essential items and the staff were very quick to contact us by phone and by email within an hour of our departure. They then delivered our items the next working day to a destination of our choosing even in advance of us paying for post, really...

This hotel is basically OK but its location is not. It’s in the middle of an industrial park/shopping centre. We were dreadfully disappointed when we arrived and refused to check in. Luckily we had a room in another hotel to go to. It’s surrounded by roads and next to a football stadium in a not very pleasant part of Bastia. I would imagine it’s fine for an overnight but wouldn’t be pleasant longer term. We had a problem getting out money back for the booking as we had booked through an app and I had to engage in heated debates with the hotel staff and the booking app to reduce my cost to one night for a room...

Un hotel adatto solo a chi vuole o deve passarci una notte di passaggio.||Abbiamo selezionato questo hotel influenzati dalle recensioni positive e dalle ottime foto ma quando siamo arrivati, abbiamo trovato ben altro:||Per cominciare un check in alle 16 mi pare al quanto eccessivo. La posizione dell’hotel è situata forse nella parte peggiore dell’isola in quanto è vero che permette di raggiungere qualunque destinazione ma nel contesto dov’è situata non c’è assolutamente nulla, anzi a dir poco una zona industriale.||Le camere sono molto belle ma purtroppo sono anche molto rumorose perchè l’affaccio oltre ad essere sullo stradone di scorrimento, da su di un passaggio a livello e ogni mezz’ora vi passa accanto il treno che circola intorno alla Corsica, e non essendo alimentato elettricamente, è assai rumoroso in quanto alimentato a motore.||La spiaggia più vicina è la Plage la Marana e obiettivamente non è da ricordare come il posto più ricercato, in quanto l’acqua ricorda molto i giorni migliori delle coste della Versilia.||Ritornando all’hotel, la cortesia appartiene solo a pochi operatori e sconsiglio vivamente di usufruire della colazione in quanto assai cara (12€ a pax al giorno) e poco fornita.||Non è stato usufruibile il sevizio lavanderia in quanto, a detta degli operatori, i capi da me forniti non rientravano nel numero minimo di tale servizio.||Il Wi-Fi è praticamente assente||La piscina affaccia anch’essa sulla strada e non come da foto sul mare in quanto vi sono ben 4km dalla spiaggia.||Insomma considerato il costo molto elevato a notte di tale struttura (180€ senza colazione) SCONSIGLIO assolutamente questo hotel per trascorrere...
