Have mixed feelings about my holiday, Arrived at 10am and nice English speaking receptionist gave us room straight away and sheets and towels, room a little musty but clean, last week it was so quiet and hot, no complaints there, but restaurant on site closed, if you walk up the beach for 5 mins though lovely bar and restaurant and some staff speak English too.|Swimming pool had no sunbeds out for a few days, but lovely clean and generally we were the only ones there, when 8 beds were put out we were still only ones there. Was 2nd pool but half empty and dirty so cut off. Beach is amazing and quiet, no sunbeds there.|My advice, if you want to brush up on your french it's perfect 90 % do not speak English at all so work it, Hire a car, taxis are very expensive and always late, buses rare |Supermarket 5 mins up road is great everything you need, very friendly everyone was friendly, really good bar next door, Mateus was lovely man very helpful food good and cheap.|Would I go back yes, but other side of the island, home now very relaxed and glad I went |You will need loo roll, few in room but not enough for a week. I took washing up stuff with me and tea, coffee, fridge freezer was new and hob and microwave clean.|Watch out for big ants they bite, mosquitos around and many spiders as...
Read morePostive are the beach and pool. They are great. The beach is not crowded at all because there is no public parking. Also positive was the aircon. It worked. And the fridge and freezer worked. There is also lots of parking for residents. Negative was that the kitchen of the bungalow we had was not clean at all when we got it and some wood parts were peeling off the cupboard and door frames. As for the cleanliness, it seems to make a difference who was in there before. Maybe other bungalows were ok and we were just unlucky. The cleaning staff came and redid the kitchen and the patio upon my request. I scrubbed everything else. After our two week stay we left the bungalow sparkling clean. Just remember to take cleaning supplies, laundry soap (there are functioning laundry machines), bug spray, and extra towels. You only get one set of towels and sheets every 7 days unless you pay more. Take a sun umbrella for the patio and the beach (no trees on the beach). The staff was friendly, except when I was complaining about the cleanliness. Would I stay there again? Yes, but well-equipped with cleaning supplies, bug spray and towels. Again, the beach is great. If that is what you are looking for, go for it. It is peaceful. We had...
Read moreThis is a big site of individual self catering holiday apartments just off the beach, which is a long, clean, white sandy beach with just a couple of small bars/restaurants. Our apartment was well appointed with a galley kitchen, including dishwasher, microwave, hob and even a coffee percolator. There are a few shops just next door, including a bakery, pharmacist, tabac, cafe-bar, and medium-sized supermarket. In a short drive or medium walk there are a couple of pizzerias. Everything else is a drive away and we'd recommend hiring a car at the airport which is just 15 mins easy drive away. The only downside for the hotel is that the wifi is really poor - it only worked four or five days out of fourteen. It was also a pity that the complex's own bar/restaurant was closed whilst we were there, in the first two weeks of September. Nearby, in 10 mins drive, is a fascinating medieval church sited within a Roman archeological site that is open to the public for free and worth a short visit. Also you are in an easy drive of a rail station to join the fabulous Corsican railway. Further afield, Bastia, St Florent, and Corte are lovely towns to visit and each is within a day...
