We’ve recently got back from 10 days at La Roseraie. |Firstly it was easy to find- not too out of the way and close to local supermarkets such as Carre Four. Whilst we stayed here we were easily able to visit local attractions/landmarks such as the D day beaches, the batteries, point de hoc, city of Bayeux etc. Very easy to find your way around via car. ||The actual campsite itself is very welcoming, there were two younger employees who could speak English very well (one was a lot nicer then the other!) We were camping and our pitch was a reasonable size, clean, flat and close to a water station. ||The campsite offers food and drink which you can order for takeaway. They offer WiFi which I think is about €1.50 a day and €10 for the week. The shop is convenient but quite expensive. ||The toilets and showers were always reasonably clean slough they do not provide hand soap so be sure to take your own each time. |Washing up stations always clean and working, nice hot water. |The staff put on entertainment in the evening, karaoke, acts, bingo etc. We went to bingo and it was a lot of fun. ||Swimming pool was nice and warm, always clean and the slides are fun but very cold water on those! ||Would be a great place to take children as there would be a lot for them to do; safe access to a park, bouncy castle, kid clubs, swimming etc. ||Overall we enjoyed our time and had...
Read moreGood, small camping. Very convenient if you want to visit historical sites and monuments, as it’s almost center of all beaches, and only a 10 minute drive from Omaha. Furthermore, small convenient stores are located nearby, also a 10 minute drive, while a big supermarket for the big shoppings is about 20 minutes away.
Camping includes a swimming pool, kid’s activities everyday, a small restaurant & bar, a supermarket (although they don’t sell enough to last for the entirety of your stay) and of course, basic sanitary stuff.
I would like to suggest the camping to add hooks in the toilets to hang up your jacket or whatever. Also, the showers run on 1 water pipe, so don’t use the one closest to the entrance, as it’s the last shower on the pipe.
Be aware that only about 2 staff members...
Read moreWe had a two week holiday in one of the camp static homes here.|The site is the best we have ever visited, so neat and tidy with a fantastic accommodation just right for us. Everything was so very clean and tidy too. The site is family managed and it shows that they really care about all visitors and look after their customers. There’s a quite small bar, a shop for essentials and a covered pool. Even a water slide for the kids.|The location is spot on around 12 minutes to Bayeux and the same to the Normandy beaches. Lots to se and do in the surrounding area.|We can not recommend this site...
