Absolutely perfect! Basic accommodation in a non-mobile mobile home static caravan sort of thing. Booked a couple of weeks before, and got a flash sale price, so had a 3-bedroom 2 toilet/bathroom 'serenite' level accommodation substantially cheaper than UK-based provider equivalents. ||Beds surprisingly comfy, and place well-equipped, so microwave, fridge-freezer, 4 ring cooker, over, coffee machine, kettle etc. Fab showers. We had taken our own sheets and quilt covers, as per the instructions, but took our own pillows, which I would recommend as their pillows looked fairly poor and lumpy (and square, so would not fit in UK cases anyway!)! Had a terrace area complete with table, 6 chairs, 2 sun loungers and a BBQ!||Siblu are a French company and, therefore, everything provided by way of entertainment is French, which we knew before we went and I therefore would not expect to be anything any different! Some reception staff spoke English. The Teens club staff had very limited English. However, my 2 teens (13 and nearly 15) had a fabulous day doing 'stuff' with the Teens club, leaving at 10 with a packed lunch and phone equipped with Google Translate, and calling me at 4 to explain that they would be late! And both loved it and wanted to do more! Younger one also joined in with the pool party, which the older one described as a chaotic bar brawl without the alcohol!!! Evening entertainment very 'French', but husband and I were quite happy back at base with a glass of Normandy cider whilst the boys were off doing stuff with the teens club!||Site ideally placed for access to all the Normandy locations and to Bayeux. Highly recommend a ciderie nearby in Ducy Sainte Margarite as well....||Would highly recommend and, on the basis of this trip, we would do Siblu again!||Additional points to note, beyond taking your own pillows....mugs very tiny, so if you like a proper cup of tea, take a mug. Accommodation has nothing by way of usables, so take tea towels, a bottle of Cif (or equivalent) and a cloth, washing up liquid and, most...
Read moreNo a 4 star site by a long stretch. Check in causes chaos arriving at site and they didn't know who had deposits or not and did not make it clear where to check in.|||| Got to caravan to find it looked shoddily installed, massive height underneath with no barrier so had to be extra careful with kids. With pieces of wood left laying around the base. Cigarette butts left around the outside. The pitch grass was more weeds than anything else.||A delightful view not, of a moss covered caravan next door. BBQ was supplied, chained to the wooden decking with about 30cm of chain (seriously stupid and dangerous idea!). Steps to decking not flat and dangerous for kids with railings not properly secured (none of the decking was secure really).||||When they decided to switch the caravan opposite about they left it most of the afternoon and night like a building site opposite.||||Light switches didn't work properly in most rooms due to poor quality electrics. Window catches didn't function properly either like the front door which didn't lock properly. Have videos of these faults if Siblu actually cares.||||Bin area was disgusting every time visited, smell can't be helped but the mess can. ||||Great that there was entertainment but gone midnight blaring music is not family friendly.||||Swimming pool "lifeguards" couldn't care less about job apart from one who was cleaning up, the others sat talking and ignored everyone doing the opposite of what the signs said. ||||Pool had cracked and broken tiles around the outside with mold same as the slide area. Sons shoes were stolen from pool but staff passed the responsibility for the area around.||||Stray dog walking around the site on a super hot day, informed reception who wanted me to approach and bring the dog to them across the site.. with what lead? ||||Staff didn't seem to care in the slightest, the site is swollen and standards are very low. Not family friendly.|||| This was the first time going with Siblu, won't be returning to this site and highly unlikely to consider siblu again after...
Read moreSo we have just returned home from a trip to Siblu Domaine de litteau. The check in procedure was really hard work with cars all the way up the track blocking people from getting in and out. This could be made alot easier by someone maybe greeting guests and giving them there information and sending them on there way. Anyhow so check in I wasn't advised the bedding we paid about just shy of 50 to rent would be coming later on that day. So after getting to the caravan I went back down to reception then I was told it would come later. Great start anyhow the caravan we stayed in was ok can't really complain about that. The site itself has a few swimming pools next to each other and one slide then a playground, football and volleyball pitch and some animals dotted around the site. Apart from that there isn't alot to do on the site really. The bar area was fine but the drinks prices again for a campsite bar are quite expensive around £7 for a pint of beer. The food offerings were not to good we had a pizza one night from the pizza van which was like £15 and the lady took a frozen pizza base out the freezer and out some cheese on and in it went to the oven. Not the best seems like it's cheap to come on holiday here but when they have you there they take as much as they can from you. Moving on from that we paid £130 to have an end of week clean at the end. Again expensive but thought it would just be easier anyhow we have returned home today and been sent another bill for another 25 euros because we had 4 cups that were cleaned on the side and the bedding that we had removed was on the end of the beds ready for the cleaner. I would be very careful booking here I won't be going back again or to any other siblu villages as this one was all in all pretty...
