On the plus side, we found it to be clean, and staff friendly. Really ! If you really, really, really need the money the hotel is probably OK.

But IMHO the place is not worth the measly 20 francs you are saving by cramping yourselves into its container-like cubicles.

The little details, streamlined processes, standardization, blankets, surfaces, above all its room size (10m² /107ft² including shower&toilet) . . . speak of rigid management squeezing cents, workforce and customers alike; In sum it became too much for me. And I am not even talking about 'breakfast'.

BTW - The main picture on the google presentation does show the main attraction of the city Beaune (l’Hôtel-Dieu) but not the hotel itself. Also, I would hesitate to describe a vending machine as "dining". That, and the promised pool . . . may exist in the vicinity, or in google halluzinations, but certainly not on the premises of "Premiere Classe Beaune Sud". What a name . . .

. . . and what a hotel indeed !

Whoever named the hotel-chain, and whoever runs the place with uncompromising management style focused on extracting maximum value from the smallest details: Congrats on a profit margin of 39.5%.

A basic hotel with very small cubicle style rooms and basic amenities – became quite cramped once the suitcases were moved in for security. The check-in process is not straightforward as you have to visit the check-in at the adjoining holiday complex to complete this task. Nearly all the people I bumped into went to the hotel first before being told to backtrack to the other reception. In hindsight this is mentioned somewhere in the booking confirmation but it might be an idea for the owners to make this even clearer.||||The room was mostly fairly clean but the sheets had marks on them – maybe an old coffee stain? (see picture) and the sink wouldn't hold water, which made shaving a bit of a challenge. Shower pressure was good though. Securing the window blind for sleeping was a challenge as it had clearly been repositioned a number of times and it was difficult to stretch it to the current bottom hook position.||||Location was just off the motorway so very convenient and there was a McDonalds a very short drive away for food but not much else in the immediate vicinity on the outskirts of town. A cheap petrol station was also in the same area so handy to re-fuel and avoid the excessive prices on the major roads.||||Breakfast was a help yourself affair but quite good with plenty of choice and the staff worked hard to keep the dishes topped up.||||Given my experience the night before at a privately run bed and breakfast with character and which was the same price I don't think I would use this hotel group again unless an alternative bed and breakfast wasn't available.||||Un hôtel basique avec de très petites chambres de style cabine et des équipements de base – est devenu assez exigu une fois les valises déplacées pour des raisons de sécurité. Le processus d'enregistrement n'est pas simple car vous devez vous rendre au bureau d'enregistrement du complexe de vacances voisin pour effectuer cette tâche. Presque toutes les personnes que j'ai rencontrées se sont d'abord rendues à l'hôtel avant de se faire dire de revenir à l'autre réception. Avec le recul, cela est mentionné quelque part dans la confirmation de réservation, mais les propriétaires pourraient avoir une idée de rendre cela encore plus clair.||||La chambre était dans l'ensemble assez propre mais les draps portaient des marques – peut-être une vieille tache de café ? (voir photo) et l'évier ne retenait pas l'eau, ce qui rendait le rasage un peu difficile. La pression de la douche était bonne. Fixer le store de la fenêtre pour dormir était un défi car il avait clairement été repositionné plusieurs fois et il était difficile de l'étirer jusqu'à la position actuelle du crochet inférieur.||||L'emplacement était juste à la sortie de l'autoroute, donc très pratique et il y avait un McDonald's à quelques minutes en voiture pour manger mais pas grand-chose d'autre à proximité immédiate, à la périphérie de la ville. Une station-service bon marché se trouvait également dans le même quartier, ce qui était pratique pour faire le plein et éviter les prix excessifs sur les routes principales.||||Le petit déjeuner était une affaire de se servir mais assez bon avec beaucoup de choix et le personnel a travaillé dur pour garder les plats réapprovisionnés.||||Compte tenu de mon expérience la nuit précédente dans un Bed and Breakfast privé de caractère et qui était au même prix, je ne pense pas que j'utiliserais à nouveau ce groupe hôtelier à moins qu'un Bed & Breakfast alternatif ne soit...

I made a reservation through bookings.com so i have already sent this request their customer service. I leave it here also fyi.

I would like a full refund for my reservation today. I checked into this hotel, changed into comfortable clothes and was lying down on the bed to rest. Soon after, my whole body started to itch so much. I have never had this symptom before, so I tried to find the cause for a long time and finally found many very small bugs on the bed. They were so tiny that even when I looked closely, they looked like dust and I had to zoom in with my phone camera to see that they were bugs. I asked the hotel reception for a refund and they said that the reservation conditions were non-refundable and that I had to apply through bookings.com so that they could help me. They offered to move me to a better room but I don't want that. I would like a refund for this as soon...
